In 2003 it only cost £ to insure, but costs rose to £ for this year's event, which organiser Derek Godfrey-Brown can't afford. The race has taken place in the centre of Okehampton, Devon, since 1995, attended by the local school. But fears of being by parents means it can't go ahead. Mr Godfrey-Brown was " disappointed." He was told he would need 25 to watch over the 75 metre in the town Centre. 64-year-old Mr Godfrey-Brown, who pays for the event himself, said: "It was last year, but there is only so much you can do on your own."
