The Horticultural Association of Kenya (HAK) is the umbrella organization of stakeholders in the horticulture industry in Kenya. HAK was officially launched on 14th January 1999 and registered in November 2001. HAK is an all inclusive organization of the Horticulture industry in Kenya and its stakeholders include academic institutions such as universities, colleges, polytechnics, technical and high schools; research institutions like KARI, ICIPE and CABI; Statutory bodies like PCPB, HCDA and KEPHIS; Ministry of Agriculture, Other corporations and parastatals, farmers; marketing agencies; manufacturers; NGOs; suppliers and consumers among others. The main features of the Association are highlighted. |
