The links on the Song List page to listen to the songs have been taken off the site. Sorry! Some people have told me that they couldn't hear the music or it wouldn't work for them. I'll work on it some more and maybe put the songs back up. Also, there is a Hairspray Store page and a Pictures page in the works. I don't know when they will be put on the site yet so be patient!

A 90 minute version of the hit musical, Hairspray is in the works to be played regularly at the Luxor Las Vegas Hotel in late 2005. No cast list has been announced yet for the show.

Okay, the Kelly Osbourne rumor is false! She will not be playing Tracy this summer in Hairspray. Marc Shaiman posted this response to the rumor in the All That Chat message boards:

Today, there was another "report" of Kelly Osbourne "going into HAIRSPRAY this summer".
first off, this "story" is being made up by someone
but!!!
all you people down below writing "Kelly Osbourne can't sing!!", well...I disagree!
I heard her sing "Have Yourself A Merry Little Xmas" in the Osbourne living room and she belted her little ass off, and in tune!
(On the other hand, she also hadn't learned the correct melody for the whole song!!)
And I personally LOVED her single "Shut Up".
Whether the personality she has showed on the show could possibly meld with an 8 show a week job, well, that a better question...
Anyway, whoever keeps planting this "story" is not doing the poor girl any favors.
but I DO hope she wants to audition, and I would look forward to it and hope she did really well.
NO ONE should be pre-judged like so many on the boards like to do, and EVERYONE has to start somewhere...there is no RIGHT way to break into any field IF you've "got it"
If Miss O. auditions someday, she will either bowl us over or not, just the same way any other hopeful "Tracy" would have to

The Links page has been cleaned up a little and more links have been added. Also, you can now listen to Mama, I'm a Big Girl Now on the Song List Page. Currently, a Media page is being worked on with video files. A secret link has been added to the Home Page of the site. If you click on it, you get to see the commercial for Hairspray that they are using to promote the Broadway show! If you find it, let us know in the guestbook. Awesome, huh?

Hairspray Announces AUDITIONS for Tracy in the Broadway and Touring Shows!!
Hairsprayonbroadway.com announced that the Broadway Company and First National Tour U.S. Company is holding an open casting call in NYC for a future replacement of the role of Tracy Turnblad, whom is the starring role of the show! The auditions are January 24 from 2:00-6:00 PM at Chelsea Studios, 151 West 26th Street, 6th Floor (between 6th Avenue and 7th Avenue), Manhattan. Do not arrive any earlier than 1:30. They are also asking that everyone auditioning sing "Good Morning Baltimore" from the show. Also, bring snapshot and resume. There will be no dancing at this audition. Equity and non-equity performers are welcome and there doesn't have to be any experience in theatre. The height for the role must be 5'3" or shorter. Must be heavyset. Must be late teens - 20's. And most importantly: Must really be a girl!!
Will Kelly Osbourne play Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray?
