| Chapter Two D, you complain way too much, Patty complained as she threw her Mustang into gear and sped towards Subway Records. Damn you, Patty. Just, damn you, getting me up so early to hang out with you while you are working and not even telling me why, D frowned as she pushed her dark sunglasses up her nose. I just wish you would tell me what the hell this is all about. She looked at Patty, who was grinning stupidly, her head cocked to one side, silent. And to add insult to injury, I cant believe you made me wear this miniskirt and this damn pink shirt. I hate pink, she muttered under her breath. I like pink, and it looks good on you, Patty said defensively. And besides, you needed to kind of look like me, you know, nice, Patty said, pointing to her pink and orange hibiscus print dress. D shot her a look of death. She shook her brown hair out of her face, still smiling. Not that living in jeans and T shirts is wrong, just that this is a business. Patty decided that, judging from the way D was glaring at her, it was a good idea to shut up. She giggled excitedly. You are going to die when you see what I have in store for you. Im going to die if you keep driving the way you do, D laughed, but Patty noticed she pulled her seatbelt on a little tighter. Patty rolled her eyes and glanced at her watch. Usually I dont drive like this. I just had to be at the studio at nine and its eight-forty-five. She turned a corner going fifty and D gasped. Sorry, Patty said sheepishly. D nodded with a chuckle and turned on the radio. Her eyes widened. Oh hell no! She turned it up. They exchanged a glance and began singing. Fuck off, fuck off, fuck off, they yelled and started laughing. D shook her head blissfully. I have to get that song for my show. Patty grinned. Now I am completely convinced that today is going to be a good day. We heard the word fuck on the radio, and I got you to wear pink. Today is going to be so good. D smiled and settled into her seat, thinking Maybe it will be okay after all. Chapter Three HOME |
