| Chapter Twelve Justin and Jade were sitting on the sofa when Patty and D went inside the house. They stopped talking and looked up at the girls, surprised. �Well, hi,� Patty said with a smile. �How did the audition go?� Jade�s green eyes lit up. �I�m Janet,� she said with a huge grin. �Congratulations,� D and Patty enthused simultaneously. Justin smiled, but when his eyes met Patty�s, she could still see worry in them. �How was your day, Justin?� Patty asked. He looked away. �It was okay. Dawnovan is one hell of a cool guy.� Dawnovan yelled from the kitchen. �Huh? I heard my name.� He walked around the bar. He smiled. �Hey guys. How was work?� Patty waved her hand around in a manner that meant �fine� and Dawnovan nodded, completely understanding. �What are you doing in there?� she asked. �Making dinner. I think we are going to have a guest.� Dawnovan pointed at Justin, who had resumed discussing the finer points of the Rocky Horror Picture Show with Jade. �Oh! I do have some good news!� Patty said with a big smile. �JC�s having a party at his hotel tonight and we are all invited.� Justin scrunched his face up. �A party? I don�t know�� Patty sighed. �If you don�t go, someone eventually will wonder where you are.� Justin nodded. �I guess you�re right. I don�t feel up for a party, but one thing I know for sure is that I won�t see her there.� �Who?� Jade asked. �Your girlfriend?� Justin forced a smile. �Nah, just someone I used to know a long time ago.� He grinned, genuinely and winked. �I don�t have a girlfriend.� �Oh really?� Jade said, and winked back. �Oh God, whatever!� D exclaimed. �Get a room!� She started laughing when Jade and Justin both turned bright red. �Anyway,� Patty said loudly, trying to stop laughing at the embarrassed looks on Jade�s and Justin�s faces, �we are all going to this party, so be ready by 9:00, okay?� Everyone nodded. Patty went to her room and flopped on her bed. She was so confused. Should she tell Jade about Justin? It was obvious they liked each other, but if Justin raped someone, he could do it again. There was this party. She was tired, emotionally as well as physically. She wanted to go see JC, but she knew Nick would be there too. JC� Well, she knew what she wanted when it came to him. She wanted him to take her in his arms and� D poked her head into Patty�s bedroom. �Hey Patty, Ashley is on the phone.� She jumped onto the queen sized bed beside Patty and listened to the conversation. �Hey there,� Ashley greeted. Patty smiled. �Hey you.� �I was just calling to ask what you were going to do tonight. That guy, Brian, from the Backstreet Boys, said that JC from *Nsync was throwing some kind of party.� �Yeah, he invited us. We�re going. Are you?� �I surely am, babe. I was just calling to make sure you knew about it. After all, what is a party if there aren�t beautiful girls there.� Patty could hear the laughter in his voice. He paused. �Is Randi going too?� �Of course, like I�d let her stay home on a Friday night when there are going to be at least fifteen hot guys at a party. Right.� Patty and Ashley laughed. �Cool cool. Well, I guess I�ll let you rest. Talk to you later.� Ashley said and they hung up. �What�s up?� D asked. �He�s going to the party also,� Patty laughed. �This is going to be one hell of a party. Imagine, the Backstreet Boys, *Nsync, and O-Town in one room. Oh, and he asked if you were going.� D giggled. �Oh yeah. Ashley Angel, Chris Kirkpatrick, and AJ McLean in one room.� D inhaled and let it out in a satisfied sigh. �Damn I�m gonna be hella busy.� Patty just looked at D, who was lying with her hands behind her head. �JC Chasez and Nick Carter in one room.
