American Hairless Terrier
The American Hairless Terrier (AHT) is a natural variation of the Rat Terrier.  This completely hairless dog (some may have eyebrows and whiskers) is a lively, intelligent and friendly companion that is often the perfect answer for those with allergies.  Their  average size is 10" to 14" at the withers.  The AHT differs from many of the hairless breeds (i.e. the Chinese Crested, Xoloitzcuintli, etc.) in that AHT does not have hair anywhere on the body (i.e. head, feet and tail) and they have full, strong dentition.  They make a lively, alert, indoor companion.  The breed is intelligent and can be energetic.  Many enjoy activities such as obedience and agility.  Grooming is minimal.  A regular bath and attention to the nails, ears and teeth is recommended.
