Born Aug. 29, 1906, in Arrow Rock, Mo., she was the daughter of the late W.W. and Martha Lucas Hains. On Dec. 12, 1929 she married Max Ellingson, who preceded her in death. She was a lifelong resident of Marshall and was the owner and real estate agent for Hains-Ellingson Real Estate in Marshall for 45 years and the first woman real estate agen in Saline County.

Survivors include two sons, a daughter; seven grandchildren; amd nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers.
