Thank you for downloading DxD Pack for Windows 95

This pack includes:
-Funky Penguin wallpapers
-DxD startup / shutdown screens

I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOU SCREWING UP YOUR COMPUTER, MAKE SURE YOU WRITE DOWN FILES OR THINGS YOU CHANGE SO YOU CAN CHANGE THEM BACK LATER. This readme does NOT tell you how to change it back to your original settings. You could theoretically read this backwords to change it back.

Instructions
---------------

1. To install this Pack, first I hope you unzipped the dxd_pack.zip file into an temporary directory. (ex. C:\Temp) You should have:

Fp_640.bmp	; 640x400 (256 colors) wallpaper
Fp_800.bmp	; 800x600 (256 colors) wallpaper
Fp_1024.bmp	; 1024x768 (256 colors) wallpaper
Logow.sys	; DxD screen while shutting down
Logos.sys	; DxD screen after shut down
Logo.sys	; DxD screen while booting
Readme.txt	; You're now reading it! ;)
NOTE: If you downloaded separate pieces of zip files, you may not have all the files necessary to change the screens.

2. Next rename the file c:\logo.sys to c:\winlogo.sys.
Rename c:\windows\logow.sys to c:\windows\winlogow.sys.
Rename c:\windows\logos.sys to c:\windows\winlogos.sys.
(these are windows default startup screens)

NOTE: Some windows95 systems are setup without a c:\logo.sys file which means you don't have to rename it. Just put the logo.sys file in c:\ and windows will recognize it's there and use it as the default startup screen. Simply remove it to get the old startup screen back.

3. Now look in the temporary directory and move the file "logo.sys" to the root(c:\) directory. Now move the files logos.sys & logow.sys to your windows (c:\windows) directory. (these are new DxD startup screens)

4. Now figure out the resolution on your screen. You most likely have 640x480, 800x600 or 1024x768. Now the only wallpapers that are relevant to you are the ones that apply to your desktop size. So file wise, look in your temporary directory for the one(s) you need, and copy onto your windows directory:
640x480 = Fp_640.bmp
800x600 = Fp_800.bmp
1024x768 = Fp_1024.bmp

5. Open Display in Control Panel. Under Background Tab, you'll be able to find BROWSE button. Click it and select the bmp file you copied. Click OK. If you're using Windows 3.1, you'll do the same, except it is under Control Panel's Desktop setting, not Display.

6. Restart your windows to see new cool screen! Enjoy!!!
NOTE: Startup and shutdown screens are still somewhat pixelated & distorted because of the win95 resizing effect. Unfortunately, this is unavoidable.

	Well, I hope you like the theme, I worked hard on it. :) Take care.
