Computer Aided Design of Hydrodynamic Pumps Students: 1) Ahmed Salah Abd El-Mawgood 2) Ashraf Mohamed Ibrahim 3) Bassam Abd El-Latif El-Seddek 4) Hassan Abd El-Fatah Mohamed Abstract A CAD program is constructed using Visual Basic for the design of Axial, centrifugal, and mixed flow pumps. Using the user's input, all dimensions can be calculated. The Inlet Velocity Triangle (IVT), as well as, the Output Velocity Triangle (OVT) at any diameter are obtained. A graphical presentation of these triangles are obtained. The shape of the pump blades all over the diameter is obtained and a 3D solid model is constructed. This solid model can be easily transfer to any CAD/CAM package for further analysis.
