Computer Based Control Using PLC

Abstract

   The project involves the control of a mechanical system using PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), and Computers. The main idea is to automate an X-Y table using 2 stepper motors online through the RS-232 port. PLC is used to add flexibility to the control system, and an auxiliary controller to maintain the functionality of the machine with the computer down.
