My Little "Sleeping" Beauty - Ericsson T66!
Look at the size! It is small and it is beautiful! The only reason why I buy this phone is because the size! You can fit it into your pocket and feel just like nothing!
Talking about functions ................ no infra-red, no Bluetooth, no GPRS and even no specified ringtone selection in each profile! But it does support Nokia's Operator Logo and ringtone format. Of course, without any communication device, the only way is to download by WAP!
The traditional Ericsson cable that works with T39, R520 and T68i DOES NOT work with T66! So don't expect to sync the calendar and address book with your Outlook by using the cable!
Why "Sleeping" beauty?
Why I called it "sleeping" beauty? Because I think there is a bug in this phone! If you leave it for few hours, say 2-6 hours and in between, there is no incoming calls and no outgoing calls, this phone will fall into sleep and once this situation happen, no one can call you any more. Just like your phone is switched off!
I tested with 3 sim cards! The first one is a 10-in-1 sim card, and I can reproduce this bug every 3 hours! The other two are from the same phone company, basically they are the same, but one does have this problem and the other one does not!
I have conducted a simple survey in a local News Group and the result revealed that this bug is not related to the network, because some people say that this bug is network dependant!
Many people in Hong Kong do have the same problem with their T66 or T600! But local Ericsson dealer denied that either T66 or T600 does have this problem! But, if you go to their service center, many people, including myself, can see that a lot of T66 and T600 users are requesting for repairing service or exchange!
May be we can gather all the T66 & T600 users with this problem and send a complain letter to Ericsson (or SE) headquarter to draw their attention!
