Summer 2000
A Bit of Home

Summer 2000 was a break from the frustrating pace of our spring tour.  In fact, we had a lot of days off, simply because we didn't have anything scheduled.  God used some of these occasions to show us His sense of timing.  On one particular occasion, we had the opportunity to spend the night in a rest home, with no concert scheduled.  A group of us got together and did a small, impromptu concert for the residents.  At the end, we prayed with 20 people-3 of them made first time decisions to follow Jesus!  At another rest home, this one a planned stop, we had two people make first-time decisions-including one of the workers!

Our "overseas" outreach was a little taste of Europe right here in North America-the province of Quebec, Canada.  Although many of the Quebecois people claim Catholicism as their religion, very few of them (only about 2%) actually attend church reglularly.  We were privileged to meet some of those who are very much in love with God and are working to turn that trend around.
