(6/1/05) So I did it, I'm done, I finally graduated. Many years of hardwork has come to an exciting conclusion. My moment to shine was Commencement in the Carrier Dome. I juggled in during the precession. Why not, walking is not cool enough for me. So in the process people really enjoyed my meager and basic three ball patterns (cascade, 423, and 441, give me a break I'm walking and have a cap and gown on, with people all around me). So people are cheering and asking me to stop for pictures. Along comes this woman secrity guard in a funny hat she asks me for my balls (insert ball joke here. I know you are all thinking of one and be creative). At first I was ready to hand them over. Then I thought, I like these deteriorating juggling balls. So I ask "Are you going to give them back to me? As I extend my handful of balls. She says, yes. I pulled them away without thinking a few times according to eyewitnesses. I didn't believe her. "This is me giving the balls to you," I defiently said as I put the balls into the safety of my pocket. The entire time people in the crowd were booing her so by the time I put the balls in my pocket she had vanished.
The summer thus far has been very eventful. I finished up the yearbook, for a while that was all I would do, I went to Leo and Rachel's wedding, moved out of my apartment in Syracuse, visited Richie and Colleen's new place in High Falls, went to three wetland delineation courses, and went to sister's wedding. I nearly lost my mind on the last four of those they all happened within two weeks of each other. Now life is much slower.
I'm back in Merrick and trying to keep busy. For the past few days I've been doing yoga using my mom's old tapes. I went to the grocery store and now I have a lot of food for me to cook with. I'm pretty excited about that. I haven't made my way down to the beach yet but I imagine it will happen this week. I'm not quite sure what I will be doing for the 4th. |

July 1, 2005: The last installment of "The Potrait of Central New York" is now in place. I'm done with Syracuse for a while. The new pictures start around #60. The pictures include my graduation and early summer activities. |
