| Official Name: � Hizb-e� Wahdat Islami Afghanistan Translation: ���� � Islamic Unity Party of Afghanistan Secretary General: Mohammad Karim Khalili Hibz-e� Wahdat� represents� the� most�� suppressed people� of� Afghanistan, the� Hazaras. Hazaras� are based mostly in the central remote areas (Hazarajat) and� as� well as in the Northern Afghanistan with a reasonable� papulation. Hazaras� under� the� flag of Hizb-e� Wahdat� are� playing very crucial rule in all the� political� and� military� events, in defending the rights of their people,� since� last� one decade. Hizb- e� Wahdat� claims that it is the most committed and dedicated� party� in� the� war� against the foreigner invaders and the terrorist circle in afghanistan.Hizb-e� Wahdat� beleives�� that� Afghanistan� should� be for Afghans and all the foreigner terrorist should vacate our� country� and� let� the Afghans live with dignity and homor in their country. Hizb-e Wahdat supports all� the� move� for� peace, brotherhood, equal rights, National� unity� and� justice� for� all� people� of� our dear country Afghanistan. Current status of Hizb-e Wahdat Hizb-e� Wahdat� is� a� vital� and� key supporter of the Bonn peace agreement and beleivesHizb-e Wahdat believes that only success of this key and historical accord can save Afghanistan from the return of those days of anarchism. Haji Mohaqiq, Chairman Political Committee holds the post of Voice Chairman and Minister Planning in the Interim Administration. Wahdat believes that the upcoming transitional government will take all the necessary steps bring equality and brotherhood among all the people of Afghanistan in real sense. |

| Our views about Taliban:A� quarrelsome� and� terrorist� circle,� which� is exported�� to� Afghanistan� for�� the� destruction� of�� the economical,� social� and� cultural foundations of our dear country. They� have� converted� Afghanistan� into� safest heaven� for� the� international� terrorist� headed by Osama bin� Laden� and� they� are� ready to scarify all the national interests� of�� Afghanistan� just only�� for� the sake of this international terrorist circle. Loya Jirga:We� support� the� Traditional Grand National Assembly� or� the Loya Jirga. We think that this is one of the� best� ways� to� solve� the� ongoing crises of our dear country�� provided�� that� the� real� national� political� and military� elements� of� the� country� would� be� taken into count through out the process. We respect HisExcellency Zahir� Shah� as� the� father� figure in this process and we hope�� that� all� the� ethnic� groups will share this process according to their real existence. Human rights: Because our people has been suffering as the� most� serious� victim of Human rights violation so no one� can� realize� the� importance of this issue better then us. we� beleive� that� the� war� criminal� in� Afghanistan should face the war crime tribunal. We recommend that proper investigation should be carried out for all the human rights abuses in Afghanistan and an impartial committee should be made for this purpose. United Nations and the other Human Rights organizations should not allow any mischievous to misuse this holly struggle for Human Rights protection for their political gain. Women:We are the only party in Afghanistan, which has ten women central� committee members. We believe that human� being� should� be� recognized� by� its� talent� and capability not the gender. From our point of view a there is� no� any� difference� between� man� and� women and a woman can serve her country from a post of clerk up to the president ship. United Nations: We� believe� that� United� Nations� is the supreme body of the human society. We completely trust it� and� ready� to� cooperate� at� any level for the peaceful solution of Afghanistan. Terrorism:This�� is�� an�� evil�� in�� the�� human�� society. International� community� should� cooperate� with� each other�� to�� completely�� eradicate��� this�� anti��� human phenomenon� from� the world and in this regard especial and� serious� attentions� should� be� paid to� Afghanistan, where the most serious victim of this evil are living. War on terrorrism: We� support� any move which leads to� complete� eradication� of� the terroism not only from Afghanistan but through out the world. |

| The Pashtuns of Northern Afganistan are safe. Wahdat News: 25/10/2001:- Haji Mohammad Mohaqiq, Interior Minister, Islamic State of� Afghanistan� and Chairman Political Committee Hizb-e Wahdat Islami Afghanistan� assured the� Human Rights Watch and United� Nations that� anti� Taliban� coalition doesn?t have� any� intention of� retaliation� against the ethnic Pashtuns of� the� Northern Afghanistan. He told the Wahdat� news� on� Thursday 25th of October 2001 ?Pashtuns of the North are the part of the Northern Afghanistan� and� the� brotherly� ethnic with� all the other ethnic?. They� are� living� with� peace� and� in brotherly� environment�� with� all� the� other� ethnic since� very� long.� He� told� that� there� are� a� few mischievous� among� them� who� joined the Taliban and took part� in� the� brutal� killing� of the innocent people� of the Mazar-e Sharif and other cities of the North at� the� result of� which� thousands of civilian were� deliberately killed and randomly executed.. He further told that in all� the� series of massacre of the people of� Mazar-e Sharif� the� ethnic Hazaras were the� main target of the Taliban mercenaries and they were� badly� punished� for� having� a particular sect and� ethnicity. But even we don?t have any ambition to� take revenge. We� don?t believe in retaliation and take� revenge policy� because� it will lead to another bloodshed� and� enmity� among� the� various� ethnic groups. He� stressed� upon� the� United Nations that this is there responsibility to� take action against the war criminal� that were� involved in the slaughter of the� Hazaras and� other� ethnic� in the North. At last once again he assured�� human� rights organizations and concerned bodies of United Nation that no need to be worried� about� the� future of the Pushtuns of Northern Afghanistan because they are our brothers and they will be dealt brotherly. |
