Unzip the file lmusej.zip into its own directory using an
unzipping program which will preserve the case of filename
characters, and which will preserve the directory structure.
(For example: WinZip). If you have no interest in the source
code, you can delete the 'src' directory.

To run LMUSe (Java), you need to have a Java Runtime Environment
installed which supports Java Sound/MIDI and Swing
(for example, Java 1.3 JRE from java.sun.com).

If you are using Windows (tm) you may be able to run the jar file
(LMUSe.jar) by double clicking it. The Java 2 runtime environment's
default installation program for Win32 systems registers a default
association for JAR files so that double-clicking a JAR file will
automatically run it.
The Solaris 2.6 kernel has been extended to invoke java -jar on
a JAR files as if they are native Solaris executables.

Otherwise, if JRE 1.3 is installed, you should be able to run LMUSe
with the command:
	java -jar LMUSe.jar
You may have to include a path to java and to LMUSe, e.g.
        c:\Javasoft\JRE\1.3\bin\java -jar c:\lmuse\LMUSe

The homepage for LMUSe is http://www.geocities.com/hacad/lmuse/lmuse.html
