| Haberdasher News Update 1-31-04 |
| The Dasher just played a show January 30, 2004 at the Historical Society of Talbot County. Sounds pretty nifty and professional like the Hammersmith Ballroom or something. It was smile-filled room and I was glad to have the honor of playing there. It was less than our usual crowd, but was all nice with seating and refreshments, so it was great. It was like a lounge or something. The crowd was of mixed ages, so the humour of haberdasher was watered down a bit with some snazzy last minute edits. It was our first show with our new live keyboardist Kevin (or Vice Le Presidente). We got through the set pretty good and had some excellent new crowd pleasers. We messed up a little bit on "Jailbreak", but the lyrics made up for that. ; ) We got a new fanbase, our original being a massive cult, and Poop Colored Flashlights being one of the cult favorites. Our newbie fans seem to love RFW Part 1 and Milkshake the best. We took requests after our opener and everyone yelled immediatley, "Arby's Girl! Do IT!" Mike Walsh, one of the great fans and supporters of haberdasher apparently taped the set. So copies will be distributed eventually hopefully along with some other stuff. Maybe they'll be for some new B-Sides. And, YES, there is a new album already being made up. Recording is not to far ahead, and the new stuff is FUNNY! I think the Gospel according to Haberdasher will make an appearance on the album along with one of our older ones that didn't make the cut, Skateboarding Jesus. Well, here's the setlist for all you hardcore crazies that love the Dasher: Historical Society of Talbot County 1/30/04 Poop Colored Flashlights RFW Part 1 Rap Medley (BGB & Milkshake) Arby's Girl Jailbreak Outro The Gospel of Haberdasher Well Haberdasher Fans, we'll be back soon.
