Biography

Was born in Europe towards the end of 50s and experienced first painting urge at the age of 8. Kept away from elementary school for 21 days because of "measles", spent each day by painting one piece - water color on paper. From that day on, always enjoyed painting.

Aside from art classes during  elementary and  secondary schools, took Fine Art and Creative Art courses while in high school. Always influenced by renaissance era artists like Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, although some of the impressionist including VanGogh also helped shaped early works. First exhibit at the schools open house where, several works including paintings,  ceramic pieces and three life-size clay sculptures were displayed. Study engineering and art remained a hobby.

Late 1980s, by-product of bird watching (a hobby), re-started painting regularly influenced by nature and birds. The Nature provided new subject matters for my painting. As a studio artist, I always take pictures of nature, birds, flowers, etc.. to use as reference to compliment field studies for my paintings.

Over the years started seeing the beauty in simple objects, rather then painting the whole forest, appreciate each individual tree, enjoy the shape and  color of each leave.

Appreciate also the uniqueness of each medium and used all, such as charcoal,  water colors, acrylics, oil, etc, depending on the composition and the project.
