| *I call this one "The Beggining of the End". YES, I know it's a zombie flick. And, YES, I know I make too damn many zombie pics. But if you'd just quit being a wuss and RENT George A. Romero's "Night of the Living Dead" you'd see why so many people are fascinated by zombies.Figuratively and literally, they DO represent what we can become. As Fran in "Dawn of the Dead" said : "They're us ! We're them and they're us !". I just wanted to make a piece that explored the contrast between two strong primary colors, and I think it came off very well. It sounds cheesy if you don't have an open mind. but what IF, just what IF, the recently dead DID come back to life with a hunger for human meat ? It would TOTALLY change our world, and eventually our reign on this planet would end. Sure, we're faster, smarter and stronger. We're also human, and that means we are combative, selfish, and quick to fight amongst ourselves when the "Shit hits the fan".Believe me when I say this that the zombies wouldn't destroy us, WE would destroy us. THEY are legion. They wouldn't fight among themselves and be counter-productive, they would have only ONE goal; to eat. DAMMIT, I've always loved zombies.From Frankenstein's monster to Bub in "Day of the Dead", they are by far the most thought provoking of the movie monsters.* |
