| *Hey hey ! I call this peice (oddly enough) "Under the bed". It may not be the most technically stunning peice that I've done, but I think that it captures a certain "something". I wanted to make something based on a child's base fear. And really, what are children more scared of than "THE DARK" ? Of course, as adults we all know that there isn't actually anything in the dark to be afraid of (or maybe its BECAUSE we are adults that there isn't anything to be afraid of in the dark). But as a kid, you always wondered "What if ?". "What if there IS something in the closet ?", "What if there IS someone behind that tree ?". Or, in this case, under the bed. Perhaps its just this child's over-active imagination playing tricks on him. It certaintly IS possible to reach a point where you can't trust your eyes and ears. But maybe, just maybe, there is REALLY something under this kid's bed. I dunno and I *MADE* the fuckin' thing. Leave me alone, I'm trying to watch the sci-fi channel.....* |
