*Ok troops. Here is the section of the site where I  explain the importance of stealth in a game like Q3F. Sure, when you play as the agent you REALLY try to play stealthy, don't you ? But have you ever tried using stealth as another class when you go on offence ? I've always thought it preferable to not be seen at all when in the enemy base rather than to go in there "Rambo-style" and try to kill everything. Now, of course using stealth and tact WILL take longer to get the flag than a more "direct" approach, but think about this; How often has it happened to you where you go into the NME base, guns blazing, and you manage to get the flag only to be killed within feet of where you got the flag in the first place? Now think about THIS situation; you go into the enemy base via the water entrancce or other secondary entrance, making sure that nobody saw you.Once you infiltrate the enemy base via the secondary entrance, you take an alternate entrance into the NME flag room (once again being sure that nobody has seen you). If your lucky (and on public servers, I think you'll find that the flag room is completely defenseless), you will find yourself already in the enemy flag room with full health and armor, and here's the kicker, NO enemies will even know you are in the flag room. Now you can take the flag, and keep in mind that in Q3F the "stolen-flag" alarm is VERY soft and nobody will probably even know you have it.
Now you have several options on how to gett he flag to your cap point. You can A) Take the flag OUT of the base the same way you came in. This is VERY slow and may piss off your more impatient teammates. But personally, I'd rather have 5 DEFINITE caps than 20 ham-handed cap attempts that never work.  Or you can choose B) You can just run like hell out the main entrance of the enemy base and try to grenade jump to the protection of your base and teammates (this is a worthy method with unusually good results, often) It is when using this method that you MUST have decent health and armor, as grenade jumping can really take a bite out of you. There are many ways to get out of an enemie's base with the flag without any real danger to yourself or teammates. I have 2 suggestions  for when you are escaping with the flag and an NME sees you doing so. I CAN'T stress enough the value of a well-timed grenade or even spam. I often find the best thing to do when you are being chased is to just hold a grenade (HOPEFULLY you have a grenade timer hooked up, but if not, I will tell how in my "rudimentary scripting" section when it is up) and just turn and throw it RIGHT before it explodes. Usually this will take care of any bogies on your tail. And also, on your way INTO the enemy base, try to take mental note of any Sentry Gun placements so that you won't run across them on your mad-dash back to your base.
Now DON'T over complicate the art of stealth, as it all just comes down to; 1) DO NOT be too loud. 2)DO NOT sit around with your thumb up your ass, get that flag and GET OUT ;) 3)Above all, do NOT get seen by enemies. and 4) Be in constant contact with your team. Be sure to give them Sentry Gun placements, and NME group placements, and anything else they might need to know.

Just follow all these rules and you should be okay. But remember that when all else fails, spam will almost ALWAYS save your ass. And if not, at least your death will be avenged. And remember what General Patton said: " The purpose of war isn't to die for your country, its to make the other dumb bastard die for his !".*
