| OLYMPICS- Gold medal in the 100 backstroke. Gold (after some controversy) in the 200 Back, and a new world record and the lead in the 400 medley relay, which ended up winning gold as well. Olympic Trials- Broke his own world record in the 200 metre backstroke with a time of 1:54.74. He also broke the meet record for the 100 metre backstroke qualifying him in two individual events for the 2004 olympics in Athens. NCAA- Placed third in the 100 metre backstroke, but won the 200 metre in world record time, claiming his second NCAA title. |

| FINA World Championships- Won gold in both the 100 metre and 200 metre backstroke, both in Champsionship-record time and was part of the 400 metre medley relay that broke the Championship record. Aaron also won silver with the American record setting 800 metre free relay team and placed 8th in the 50 metre backstroke. Mutual of Omaha Duel in the Pool- Aaron won the 200 metre backstroke and was third in the 100 metre, but also led the 400 metre medley relay team when it broke the US open record. NCAA Championships- Broke the American record in the 200 metre backstroke becoming the first person to ever swim it under 1:40, winning his first NCAA title. Aaron was also second in the 100 back. |

| Pan Pacific Championships- Aaron won three gold medals- 2 of them for individual races (the 100 and 200) and another for the 400 medley relay, which broke the world record as well. Summer Nationals- He won the 100 and 200. Short Course Nationals- He broke the world record in the 200 back to win the gold medal and on the 400 medley relay team as well, but placed second the 100 back, good enough for a silver. Spring Nationals- Aaron set his first world record in the 200 metre backstroke in 1:55.15 and also won the 100 back and placed sixth in the 200 metre free. |
