Entry for October 04, 2006

Hey there. It is a Wednesday night and I just got back from playing volleyball. It was my last night for a while because the Women of Antigonish theatre group starts up again next week, running until March 8 when we do our presentation. I am pretty excited. We will be using a few of my written pieces in the play, and a song I wrote is planned for the grand finale. My commitment to myself as a writer is what is shown in this photo. The tattoo says, "I have the write", and is on my right shoulder. I love it, I think it is so beautiful, and such a powerful way of reminding myself to do it. I also auditioned for Music of the Night, and made it, so I will be playing a rather anonymous 'WHO' in Seussical the Musical. So, my creative juices will be put to good use for a while. I am also taking a creative writing class on Tuesday nights, and looking into taking a French class on days that I don't work. It seems I may even be able to take one through the School Board, so I am pretty excited about that. I have been teaching French every day except for three of all the days I've taught so far. It's funny that as much as I want to be an English teacher, French seems to be what is calling me. I guess we'll see how that plays out. My kids are amazing, all is going well with them. The little people have a great care-giver, we all love her, Max and Devon are in school, of course, and doing so well. I am just running over with blessings it seems. There are a few things I could wish for (primarily full-time employment and a skinny bod), but in the grand scheme of things, it's all good. Life is busy, life is good, I really feel like I'm living, that's for sure, squeezing all the juice out of the day. One of these days, I just may let the day be.
