Bill "Hitman" Hart challenged "Polish Prince" Chad Derdowski for the Hungarian Title. He was heard to remark, "Oh, the Polish Prince, Pooolish Prints, oooh!" Hart went on to capture the belt, and broke the Prince's leg with the aid of a chair.
February 15, 1999 - After losing the Hungarian Championship to Mr. Chad Perfect, Bill Hart demanded a rematch. He lost. In a last ditch effort to regain the strap, Hart resorted to calling Perfect a cheater! A lumberjack match was signed, and Bill Hart lost yet again.
March 21, 1999 - After losing the International Tag Team Grand Prix, Mufasa Haseed kicked the shit out of his former partner, "Alabama" Tony Whupass and The Darksiders dissolve...
April 16, 1999 - Carl Stonewall defends his Mid-Atlantic States Hardcore Championship in an 8-man Hardcore Elimination Match. He is defeated, in the end, by Sting - the Computer Who Fought Like a Man.
April 17, 1999 - Dave Ken stepped out of the crowd again. This time to challenge the undefeated streak of Mr. Chad Perfect, the current Hungarian Commonwealth People's Heavyweight Champion of the World. While Ken dominated much of the match, he ended up losing the match.
That very same day, Dave Ken got the rematch he so richly deserved at SuperBrawl. Using a Reverse-Russian Legsweep, Dave got the victory and the belt, and ended Mr. Chad Perfect's perfect streak!
April 24, 1999 - Mufasa Haseed changes his name to Big Daddy Seekee, having found a new faith, the origin of which we are uncertain. Perhaps not so coincidentally, Haseed had recently been to a Parliament concert under the influence of heavy narcotics.
Also on April 24, N.W.A. Junior Heavyweight Champion Captain Fantasy II went to a time-limit draw with Marty Janetty, the arch enemy of his predecessor. A rematch was signed, which Janetty won! As is custom, Fantasy put his mask on the line for a rematch... and Janetty won again! Captain Fantasy II left for Mexico in shame.
Later that day, Carl Stonewall took on Hungarian Champion Bill "Hitman" Hart to capture the belt for the first time. Hart would regain the belt that same evening.
May 1, 1999 - Carl Stonewall defeats Bill Hart in a shootfight to regain the Hungarian Championship.
May 2, 1999 - After being choked with his own headband, Dave Ken submitted to Chad Derdowski's sleeperhold and lost his recently won Hungarian Championship.
May 16, 1999 - Mid-Atlantic States Hardcore Champion The Cobra Commander challenged The Tully Blanchard Missouri National Television Champion of the World, T.J. Powers. The Commander lost, but he did not lose his M.A.S. Hardcore Title, as it was not on the line. Later that same day, The Commander went on to defeat Billy Brisco for the Hungarian Championship.
May 22, 1999 - A day that shall live in infamy. The darkest day in VGWA history. On this day in history, Cobra Commander, the reigning Hungarian Champion, put his title o the line against "The Millionaire" Matt Welz. Everyone knew that the Commander was totally corrupt... a man with no moral code. But no one knew just how far he would sink.
Several minutes into the match, it became apparent that Welz was pulling his punches. Several minutes later, it became apparent that Cobra Commander was attempting no offense. Then the worst atrocity in the history of mankind, or at least professional wrestling, happened... The Commander laid down in the middle of the ring and allowed "The Millionaire" Matt Welz to pin him and win the Hungarian crown. It was the outrage of all outrages!
However, as luck would have it, the VGWA Board of Directors had worked a clause into the small print of the contract stating that they could choose a challenger from the VGWA ranks to immediately challenge Welz. They chose... "Kingpin" Billy LaLonde, who went on to submit to the Millionaire's Figure-8 Leg Lock.
