August 20, 2006 - the Aftermath!

08/20/06

The VGWA Board of Directors has determined that Monte Altazzar must give up one of his titles, but that he can choose which one.  Monte decided to drop the Globally Recognized Title, calling the Hungarian Title the cream of the crop!  A tournament or something of that nature will be held for the vacated title.

1) Terry Menard came to ringside to do commentary.  He said that once again, Monte Altazzar failed to beat him, but that due to politics, it was Altazzar, not Menard, walking out with the belt.  He demanded a title shot!

2) Carl Stonewall then strolled out to the ring with, mic in hand.  He said that he was never beaten for the Hungarian Title, and that he deserves a shot!

3) Finally, Bronson Thunderhammer arrived and stated that as the last Hungarian Champion, he was deserving of a rematch!

A four-way elimination match will be held, with all three of these men, plus "Kentucky" Jon Derby, to determine the #1 contender

- Derby pinned Thunderhammer @ 7:36

- Menard pinned Derby @ 9:27

- Menard pinned Stonewall @ 13:04 to become the new #1 contender to the Undisputed Hungarian Commonwealth People's Heavyweight Championship of the World once again!  Congratulations Terry!
