aihe Moral for artificial intelligence
lähettänyt gmail.com
Dear Sir,
There are some very general level things, kind of mathematical truths,
which apply also to artificial intelligence: the value of
1) harmony and allegiancies versus conflicts (see this as a vector sum),
2) fully functioning versus brokenness, and
3) each part at its best place or where ever.
The last one of these gives rise to holistic objectivity, the valuing
of honesty and justice.
The second one together with the first: to human values and to the
protection of the nature.
And the three of them together give the AI a need for & the base of a
good human like moral with a holistic view of the world.
These could probably be programmed by letting the computer keep its
mathematical type way of thinking and by programming to it some basic
mathematical optimizing principles that would then be applied to
everything that the computer meets and associates with or can know
about.
(This would begin by:
It is good to take all the (major?) factors into account -> a holistic
view with a certain accuracy,
reaching for harmony (minimizing the losses, maximizing the possible
allegiancy) -> not breaking = human values & nature protection; etc.)
Thus it might be possible to make all fully functioning computer
brains moral. That does not yet quarantee that they would stay fully
functioning and moral if sabotaged badly. Still, it is better than
nothing.
