Cairo: Visited the step pyramid of Zoser, which is said to be the world's oldest stone monument, built about 2670BC, at Saqqara.  [This may predate Stonehenge in England, which was thought to have been erected between 2500BC and 2000BC, although one estimate suggests the earliest phase of the monument may have been built about 3100BC - it may have been built in three phases. ]  Visited the Sphinx and the pyramids at Giza.  Also visited travel agent and organised travel and accommodation to Luxor, Aswan and Abu Simbel.  Bought an Egyptan SIM card for my mobile phone.
