Names are important, and I feel so sorry for all of you out there with names that just make people wonder what your parents were thinking when they named you. Examples I found online:

(1) Peter Peter

(2) Marsha Mellow

(3) Calvin Coolidge Julius Caesar Tuskahoma McLish

(4) Wishona Starr

I am seriously not making this up. Btw, #2 is supposedly a professional baseball player, 'Cal McLish'. I also feel sorry for all the companies that named their products after something stupid. I mean, here are some examples:

(1) Hairy armpit: an  cocktail of grapefruit and ouzo (Greek alcoholic drink)

(2) Diaper pony: a pony kept as an indoor pet.

(3) Maltipoo: a Maltese/poodle hybrid.

Names are important, which is why I suppose if you really want to know who God is, you would go down the list of His names. Each name is a facet of his multifacetedness. Here's a partial list:

(1) Jehovah-Jireh (yir-REH): The Lord will provide

(2) Jehovah-Rophe: The Lord will heal

(3) El: God (mighty, strong, powerful)

(4) El-ohim (elo-HEEM): God (strong, pantokrator, etc.)

(5) El-Shaddai: God almighty/ God all-sufficient

Let the name of the Lord be praised!
