We hiked most of the Boundary Trail at Stones River National Battlefield. Jacob walked the whole way, but complained a bit. Ethan walked about half of the way and then I carried him. I carried Simon the first part of the trip and Chris carried him the rest of the way. We did not bring a baby carrier or the Mya Wrap.

The weather was quite cold, so we went on the driving tour at Fall Crrek Falls. Jacob, Ethan, and Simon went with us. We did decide to try a little hiking. We hiked the Piney Falls Overlook Trail and the Piney Falls Trail to the suspension bridge. The trails were quite easy, but it was a little scary with the kids near high bluffs. We spent the night at the Fall Creek Falls Inn. Cost: $37.36 including tax and my state employee discount.

We hiked the Gilbert Gaul Loop. This is the park's newest trail. It was a great hike. Ethan walked about half of the way. Chris carried him a bit but I wound up carrying him the last half while Chris carried Simon in the backpack carrier. I'm not sure how long the hike is. Different maps say different things. It is probably somewhere between 3.6 and 4.4 miles. We need to be sure to prepare better for hikes. I need to make a check list of items and make sure I have them for every trip. Perhaps even keep them in the car for when we decide to go on a hike at the last minute.
