WON'T BE WRONGED

I'm so tired of saving for that rainy day
Can't be a back-seat driver on this trip of fate
Not a woulda, shoulda, coulda

Kind of life for me

You know, I may be wrong

Though I could be right
At least I have a cause and I'm willing to fight
I'm not above standing up for what I believe

And I won't be wronged
Because I write this script as I go along
Ain't nobody singing this song but me
And I won't be damned
I may lose the bet, but I play my hand
You don't get nothing in life for free

Your bitter words only serve to gain
Some kind of petty entry in your book of shame
You like to think that you're getting to me
You can't take the heat, always pass the blame
You just huff and puff, trying to put out my flame
You like breaking hearts just to watch them bleed

I won't be wronged,
Because your kind of games I won't play along
Your slight of hand no longer deceives me
And I won't be damned
For the sake of not fitting into your little plan
And all that you expect me to be

Got no intention to wish you ill
Just got my life to live and no time to kill
You see, forgiveness is my remedy
So maybe time will fill your holes
It could cure your heart, even mend your soul
Maybe then you will turn a new leaf

And I won't be wronged
If my heart is soft, then my will is strong
You won't see me begging down on my knees
And I won't be damned
Because time has come for me to take my stand
And face the demons that I see

And I won't be wronged
Because your kind of games I won't play along
Your slight of hand no longer deceives me
And I won't be damned

For the sake of not fitting into your little plan
You don't get nothing in life for free
