Lighthouse Light
Hope Smith
Lighthouse on the island
With ever shining light
Guiding ships to safety
In the darkness of the night

In the safety of the island
This island by the sea
I hope the light will shine
To bring you here to me.

The light is ever there
There to guide the ships
I await on this island
I await your lips.

Safety on this island
Approach in your rowboat
Please keep away my chill
Come wrap me in your coat

Often you moored your boat
Warm chills away at night
I will sit and wait
By the ever lighthouse light.
Back to the hammock
