My daughter and I are both very fond of cats. If it was up to us, we'd have a houseful. However, we only own one cat, but our neighbor has about a dozen now. They are all outdoor cats, and most people probably think they are ours. Whenever Desire' walks outside, all the cats come running. They know our car and run to the house when they see us coming home. And of course, the funniest sight is to see my daughter walking down the street with all these cats following her. That's where we came up with the term "The Kitty Brigade".
Athene
Athene is, of course, our cat. Though named after a Greek goddess, he is a boy. He was only about 3 - 4 weeks old when we got him. Still so small we had to bottle feed him and make him go to the bathroom. He used to cry just like a baby. Athene is a house cat. Never goes outside. He thinks he's human, so much so that we had to have him fixed to keep him from marking terretory against my hubby. He only likes one certain brand of cat food and it must be served in a certain bowl. To top that, he eats with his paw and will not finish any uneaten portions later. He dislikes milk and people food in general.
Mongo
Mongo is one of our neighbor's cats and a member of "The Kitty Brigade". A very large male who likes to sleep in the shade and chase off the other males.
Pebe
Pebe is one of the second generation in the Kitty Brigade. A new mother of three, she is just now starting to warm up to us and let us pet her.
Cow
The third generation of the Kitty Brigade, Cow was given it's unusual name because it looked like a cow when it was born. Though I'm not sure of it's gender, it's a very sweet loving kitty.
Zero
From the same litter as Cow, Zero is a lot more anti social. Runs everytime someone comes near. Though I believe he is a boy, I'm not sure.
Popcorn's Kittens
These are the fourth generation of the Kitty Brigade. We've adopted Artemis and Fluffy is MIA at the moment. Artemis is male and Shorty is female.
Pebe's Kittens
Again, the fourth generation of the Kitty Brigade. Pebe's kittens have some of the prettiest markings. We've adopted Luna. All are female.
Newest Stray
This is the newest member of the Kitty Bigade. A stray, it still isn't sure about us, but it is very pretty. Bobtail cat with no name.
