Most of us can think of a time when we have stood in front of the closet and wondered what on earth we were going to wear! My greatest panic is what to wear to a wedding. Perhaps like me you have rummaged through the possibilities, made a choice, tried it on, then headed back to the closet and started again. It's frustrating! But then again I have to be thankful that I have so many clothes in the closet! I've taken several bags full to the Salvation Army in the past. Someone gave me two boxes full of fabric. I've purchased some more up to date patterns and spend some of my weekends sewing. I can't afford the great clothes I see on TLC's "What Not to Wear," but I'm certainly not without clothes either. I have enough to choose from, so what am I worried about?
Remember the Bible verses before? The great and very wealthy King Solomon and all of his wives were not clothed as beautifully as the flowers of the field. God provides for all our needs, clothing, food and so much more.
What do you worry about?
CLothes?
Food?
Your home?
Your Job?
School?
Your family?
Your friends?
Being lonely?
Not having time alone?
Money?
Terrorism?
War?
Safety?
Sure there are lots of things out there we could worry about, but the Bible teaches us to trust God in all things.
Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing. Psalm 34:10
I like the quote I've adopted from the Wisconsin episode of ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" There's much to think about, but nothing to worry about. Matthew Koepke (from Season 4 episode 8)It's time to give your worries up to God. Quietly now name your worries, then imagine putting them in a pouch, giving them to this bird, who will fly them away where you can no longer reach them. Know that your worries, even the deepest ones you are afraid to admit, are being flown on the wings of prayer to God, the only one who can manage them all. Let Jesus lift that burden of worry from you.

When you have finished confessing all your worries to God, your Spirit will be free to soar as if it were also a high flying bird and your spiritual strength will be renewed like an eagle.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31
He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord. Psalm 40:3
Let us move into a time of thanksgiving as our spirits soar to this hymn of praise.
