| Just trying to be fair... |
| Mine wouldn't seem like an extremely joyful, happy, blissful (and all the synonyms that may apply)...nope it isn't; but to be honest I don't think my Dreamer is walking over clouds here. He is a pain, we all know that...he is got a temper, but when I get sick He is the one that stays here and waits until the storm is clear. My main complain always is and will be (until further notice, lol) the fact that he is not the most affectionate person on planet Earth...that is his "boo-boo". But in order to you guys understand the erratic path on my pages you must know this gypsy has Bipolar Disorder. It's got to be real difficult not knowing who will be there when you wake up...Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde...nevertheless I have learned to cope with it (without medication) and so does my Dreamer. I know he thinks I can do better, so do I...but there are times when even doing nothing is an overwhelming task. There are days, like today, when everything is almost perfect...but we never know. This is not for you to feel scared but to understand that the best medicine is often not letting us do whatever we want and be brats, but to give us a space...sometimes we like and need to be alone. Some days to swim on our sea of misery (so we feel...) other times just to give our body the chance to quickly recuperate and in a short time span we are like new. Bipolar come in all sizes and shapes...some are wealthy some are not. Some bipolar are functional others can't hold a job for a long period. We get cranky easily, but on the same token we are affectionate with whoever we feel comfy to be. Most of us are warm hearted, giving people (too giving at times, lol!). Bipolar on the most cases are very intelligent people (there goes my Big Head) so we can easily hold any kind of conversation. If you have a bipolar person in your life just let him/her be...we are quite a trip when we are okay...and quite a trip when we are not...anyway, you will never be bored with a bipolar next to you. My dreamer does not have it easy sharing his time and space with me, but he always hangs in there...no matter how many times I tell him to leave (actually I don't tell him, I howl at him) he always stays. It's hard for me to understand why he does it, because honestly, I wouldnt be able to cope with someone like me. But the good thing is that he does and I love him for that. Whatever I do, seems that he always know that behind that monster there is a Gypsy who loves him with all the passion a human being could love another. |
