In the Name of God Amen, I William Horobin of Sheen Moor Race in the Parish of Sheen and County of Stafford being of sound disposing mind and memory and understanding do this seventh day of July, one thousand eight hundred and forty make and publish this my last Will and Testament in the form and manner herein and hereafter set forth and declared, That is to say,
First I commit my body to the earth to be decently buried in a Christian like manner and all my Lawful Debts, Funeral Expenses be lawfully paid and discharged out of my personal estate and with respect to the rest of my estate both real and personal, I give and bequeath in the following manner......................
Item 1st, I give and bequeath to my loving wife Hannah Horobin the whole of the rents, interests, issues or proceeds that may arise from and out of all and every part of my estate where I now live both real and personal for her own use and purposes, for the time or period of her natural life to be paid to her by my Executors as hereafter named in such manner as she may at all times require the same.
Item 2nd, At the death of my widow, Hannah Horobin it is my Will that she shall be decently buried and the expenses of her funeral to be paid by my Executors out of my real or personal estate as is the most convenient for them.
Item 3rd, At the expiration of six callendar months after the death of my widow Hannah Horobin I give and bequeath to my son Benjamin Horobin the sum of one hundred pounds of lawful money to be paid by my Executors to him, his Heirs, Executors, Administrators or Assigns the same to be paid out of my real estate.
Item 4th, At the expiration of six months as in the last item, after the death of my widow Hannah Horobin, I give and bequeath to my son William Horobin the sum of one hundred pounds of lawful money to be paid by my Executors out of my real estate to be paid to him, his Heirs, Executors, Administrators or Assigns.
Item 5th, At the expiration of six callendar months after the death of my widow Hannah Horobin I give and bequeath to my daughter Hannah Mellor the sum of thirty pounds of lawful money to be paid by my Executors out of my real estate to her, her Heirs, Executors, Administrators or Assigns.
Item 6th, At the expiration of six callendar months after the death of my widow Hannah Horobin I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Wood the sum of fifty pounds of lawful money to be paid to her by my Executors out of my real estate to her, her Heirs, Executors, Administrators or Assigns.
Item 7th, At the expiration of six callendar months after the death of my widow Hannah Horobin I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann Clowes the sum of fifty pounds of lawful money to be paid to her, her Heirs, Executors, Administrators or Assigns, to be paid to her by my Executors out of my real estate.
Item 8th, I give and bequeath to the illegitimate son of my daughter Hannah Mellor, known by the name of James Horobin, the sum of twenty pounds of lawful money to be paid by my executors out of my real estate, such part thereof as may be required to be at the discretion of my Executors for the purpose of binding the said James Horobin as an apprentice to some suitable trade. And the residue or remainder of the said twenty pounds to be due to the said James Horobin with interest on the same on the sixth day of December , one thousand eight hundred and fifty. And be it further provided that should the said James Horobin do not survive the year 1850 Decmber 6th then such sum or sums as do become duly payable to him James Horobin, shall be paid to my daughter Hannah Mellor, her Heirs or Assigns.
Item 9th, It is my Will that at and after the death of my widow Hannah Horobin I give and bequeath to my son Daniel Horobin the whole of my Estate where I now live the same being known by the name or names of Sheen Moor Race or land in tenement together with all and every part of my estate both real and personal whatsoever and wheresoever that I now or hereafter may possess to him, his Heirs, Executors, Administrators or Assigns. The same to be subject to the payment of such sums or items as are herein and heretofore given and bequeathed.
Item 10th, I do hereby constitute and appoint my son Daniel Horobin and Abel Doughty my two Acting Executors and I invest them with full power and authority to execute the same, my initials are placed near any erashures and interlining.
Signed, sealed, published and declared by the said Testator William Horobin as being his last Will and Testament in the presence of us and at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses on the day above mentioned.

Codicil:
Whereas I have by my last Will dated the seventh day of July 1840 given and bequeathed to the illegitimate son of my daughter Hannah Mellor known by the name of James Horobin the sum of twenty pounds - I do by this Codicil which I consider as part of my Will revoke and utterly disallow him that sum or any part thereof unless he conduct himself with order and propriety, if he does not, then I give and bequeath the said sum of twenty pounds to my daughter Hannah Mellor to be paid to her by my son Daniel Horobin at his discretion at the expiration of ten years after the decease of my dearly beloved wife Hannah Horobin - Or if it may suit my son Daniel, I leave it at his discretion to give the said sum of twenty pounds to either of them.
I appoint my dearly beloved wife Hannah Horobin and my son Daniel Horobin and Abel Doughty Executors of my Will.
Signed, sealed, pronounced and declared by the Testator William Horobin as a Codicil to his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses.
