This is the last Will and testament of me John Horobin of Ferny Knowles in the parish of Sheen in the County of Stafford Farmer.
I will order and direct that all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses shall be paid and discharged by my Executrix and Executor hereinafter named as soon as conveniently may be after my decease. And I give devise and bequeath all that my said messuage, farm or tenement lands, hereditaments and real estate situate at Ferny Knowles aforesaid now in my own occupation.
And also my personal estate and effects consisting of live and dead farming stock, farming implements, household furniture and all other my personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever that I shall be possessed of or entitled to at the time of my decease unto my wife Mary Horobin without impeachment of waste for and during the term of her natural life if she so long continues my widow and in case my said wife Mary Horobin shall marry again after my decease I then give bequeath and devise to her the sum of one shilling only in lieu of the aforesaid bequests and devises.
And after the decease or marriage of my said wife Mary Horobin I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Martha Horobin the sum of fifty pounds.
Also I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Ann Horobin the sum of fifty pounds.
Also I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Hannah Horobin the sum of fifty pounds.
Also I give devise and bequeath unto my youngest son Alfred Horobin the full sum of one hundred pounds all which aforesaid legacies shall be payable out of my real and personal estate within twelve calendar months after the said legacies are payable.
Anf if any of my daughters or my son to whom I have bequeathed legacies shall die before receiving his or her legacy I do then will order and direct that his or her legacy shall be divided equally amongst my other children to whom I have bequeathed legacies respectively.
And if any of my children shall not have attained to the age of twenty one years at their mother's decease or second marriage I do hereby will order and direct that such of my children as shall then be in their minority shall have a living and maintenance on my said estate untill they have attained to the age of twenty one years and I do then order and direct that their respective legacy shall be paid within twelve calendar months after the day on which they shall have attained to the age of twenty one years.
And I give devise and bequeath after the decease or marriage again of my said wife Mary Horobin and after payment of all just debts and expenses and subject to the said legacies herein before described. All my said real and personal estate herein before described, And also all and singular any other estate whether in possession, reversion, remainder or expectancy unto my eldest son John Horobin and his assigns and in case my said son John Horobin shall die before his mother or before possessing the said real and personal estate without leaving lawful issue I do then give and devise the said real and personal estate subject to the said legacies herein before described to Alfred Horobin my youngest son to hold the same to the said Alfred Horobin his heirs and assigns for ever.
And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said wife Mary Horobin and my said son John Horobin to be Executrix and Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
I make and declare this to be my last Will and Testament . In witness whereof I the said Testator have hereunto set my hand this third day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty two.
