 Will of Daniel HOROBIN who died 23rd Feb, 1875,
Sheen Moor Lane in the Parish of Sheen and County of Stafford.

This is the Last Will and Testament of me Daniel Horobin of Sheen Moor Lane in the Parish of Sheen and County of Stafford, farmer.

First I direct that all my debts, funeral and testamentary expensesto be paid by my Executors hereafter named with all convenient speed after my decease and after payment thereof I give, devise and bequeath, direct, limit and appoint all and singular my real estate and my household furniture, stock, money and all other my personal estate whatsoever unto John Wood of Race House in the Parish of Sheen and County of Stafford, farmer, William Pickering of the High Close in the Parish of Sheen and County of Stafford, farmer and Elizabeth Howard of Broad Meadow Hall also in the Parish of Sheen and County of Stafford, servant, their heirs and assigns upon trust as soon as conveniently may be after my decease.

First I leave to my wife Hannah Horobin the sum of ten pounds per annum, the first half yearly payment to be made six months after my decease, to be paid out of my real estate as long as she remains a widow and also a featherbed and other articles of bedding and furniture she had in her possession when she became my wife.

Next I give to Thomas Howard of Ball Ridge Lane the sum of nineteen pounds and nineteen shillings, to Ellen Howard the sum of nineteen pounds and nineteen shillings, to Jane Ann Howard the sum of nineteen pounds and nineteen shillings, to Eliza Howard the like sum of nineteen pounds and nineteen shillings, all children of Henry Howard of Ball Ridge Lane in the aforesaid Parish of Sheen and County of Stafford and each to receive the aforesaid legacy when they attain the age of twenty one years and if any of them should die before they attain the age of twenty one years, their legacy to go to the residue and after payment thereof I give, devise and bequeath the rest, residue and remainder of my real and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever to my niece Elizabeth Howard now living with Mr Finney? of Broad Meadow Hall in the aforesaid Parish of Sheen and County of Stafford for and during the term of her natural life and after her decease, I leave my real estate to Alfred Horobin, son of my cousin John Horobin of Ferny Knowl the aforesaid Parish of Sheen and County of Stafford and his heirs.

I also leave to my wife Hannah Horobin the possession of my real estate, stock, money, household furniture and all other effects during the term of her natural life if my Executors think proper, if they do not think proper then for her to receive her yearly legacy of ten pounds per annum out of my real estate if she does remain and farm the estate, the legacies before named not to be paid till after her decease, at my decease the stock, household furniture and all other effects to be valued and not made of less value at her decease, then when she then has possession I appoint John Wood of Race House, William Pickering of the High Close and Elizabeth Howard of Broad Meadow Hall, Executors and Executress of this my Will and hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time made heretofore. I declare this to be my last Will the witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this fourth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and seventy four -------- Daniel Horobin -------- signed, published and declared by the said testator Daniel Horobin as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names.

Proved at London, 21st June, 1874 by the oaths of John Wood and Elizabeth Howard, spinster, the niece, two of the Executors to whom Admon was granted. Power? reserved of making the like Grant to William Pickering, the other Executor.
