Picture of the woods, summer 2005. The flowers are now in full bloom. I planted impatiens, and lots of zinnias and vincas. In the bottom left corner of the picture is my new gingko tree. I really hope it is a male!
The woods behind Costa Lotta seem to have come back from Hurricane Ivan. Althought it does look slightly thinner than it did last year, the vegetation is still thick and lush back there. I know that the snakes and squirrels are back in full force!
A closer look at the flowers.
The back of Costa Lotta from the woods looking at the sunflowers. Big, bright, happy looking flowers.
My watermelons.
I was hoping to have a lovely harvest of watermelons, cantaloupes, pumpkins and squashes. What I didn't count on were wild rabbits who devoured my entire crop. Most upsetting. Next year, I'll try and figure out how to cover the crop with chicken wire to protect them.
A regular Tuesday morning practice for the Blue Angels. They do their acrobatics right above Costa Lotta.
