Settling In

From front door into foyer. Doggie admiring Evelyn's tropical arrangement.

The movers were in and out in about 5 hours. I was left with a mountain of boxes. I rolled up my sleeves and did what any military wife worth her salt knows to do: get to work unpacking and DO NOT STOP until you are down to your last box. Well, I came close. I got 90% of the boxes done within the week. The rest I had to leave for Cedric, the office equipment, his books, etc. Oh, and the knick knack boxes that are still here....

From dining room into living room. Plant ledge has another of Evelyn's arrangements.

The furniture fit beautifully with the colours in the house. All our big, heavy pieces that looked huge in the apartment were suddenly dwarfed by the house. It was then that the size of the house sunk in. Costa Lotta was beginning to feel like home!

Breakfast nook with my peranakan coffee shop table. What I had to do to get it!

Hallway to the master bedroom

My curtains from Shenzhen had gone up earlier. They were a beautiful fit and the colours went well with the house and furniture. Must return there to get some more.

The cats, of course, were having the time of their lives with all the boxes to play with, "their" furniture and household goods being unpacked. They were happier than I have seen them in a long time.

Doggie and Yoshi enjoying fresh air from bathroom window.

Dog Dog on top of kitchen cabinets. Her hiding spot.
