Christmas and New Years came and went in a blur. We were too anxious and excited about the packout and move to think too much about the holidays. Finally, Saturday January 10th rolls around and the Dog Dog, Yoshi and I say goodbye to San Diego and fly into Pensacola.
Back of house from woods.
We arrive that evening just behind a cold front. It was 25F and I realised, upon getting into the house, that the heat was run on gas! With logs in the fireplace, the cats and I settled down for a very cold night on the floor. Next morning, Tim, a dear friend, came by with a futon, an ice chest and a TV (yippee!!!). We also went and bought a space heater. Come Monday morning, the gas man turns up and became my new best friend when he got the heat and hot water working! He was followed by the telephone and the cable guy (TV!!!) and lastly, the refrigerator delivery. By 11 a.m. everything was set. All I needed were my household goods to turn up.
The Living room with wood floors and fireplace.
On Wednesday, a call comes from the the big rig with my stuff. They were in Pensacola and could they deliver? Wonderful news!!!!
The kitchen with my shiny new stove and fancy microwave!!!
