DISCIPLINE

1.     Employees are liable to disciplinary action, including discharge from the Corporation’s service, for offences which warrant such action.

2.     In all disciplinary cases the employee covered by this Agreement, with or without his Union representatives will be given every opportunity to defend himself.

3.     All offences are to be reported without delay. An officer (all employees) shall report in writing to the General Manager or his appointed representative any misconduct or breach of discipline committed by another officer of whom he is in charge immediately the offence becomes known to him and in no case later than 5 days.

4.     If the offence is passed to the discipline committee the officer shall reply in writing within 5 working days to the charge or charges made, stating any grounds on which he relies to exculpate himself. If no reply is received it is taken that the accused is admitting the offence.
