"I haven't the slightest idea what I'm doing." She told Matthew (Helen's oldest son) as he spun her round 'n round on the "dance floor".
"Neither do I." Matthew replied. Just then the song ended. Patsy handed Scarlett a large glass of whiskey. Scarlett silently refused, no lady would ever drink whiskey, ahe thought to herself.
The dancing lasted long after midnight, and Scarlett did not get back to her grandfather's house till right before dawn. But, Scarlett fell into a deep sleep the moment her head hit her pillow.
The next day, Scarlett did not wake up until late afternoon, but after she did wake up she hurried to get dressed and go over to Helen's.
"Helen! Hel-en!" Scarlett yelled as she entered the small room that was Helen's kitchen. In a few moments, both Helen and Colum appeared in the kitchen door.
"Cousin Scarlett!" Colum beamed "How wonderful to see you, again. Did you have a good time dancing last night?"
"I had a lovely time, thank you."
"I can see the Irish charm in you, Scarlett. I saw it last night, and I see it again now. Won't you say that you will come back to Ireland with me? I'm sure all of your other O'hara cousins are just dying to meet you."
"Well...um..."Well, why not. Scarlett thought I deserve a vacation don't I? "...Yes, Colum. I think I will go to Ireland with you. When do we leave?"
"One week, Scarlett darling. One week."
