Prissy came in a few minutes later, and seeing that Scarlett was up had Michael bring up her breakfast tray. Scarlett told Prissy that she would be spending the day in bed, and for her to go tell her cousin, Helen that she was alright, but she was going to stay in bed.
While Prissy was gone, Scarlett noticed an envelope on the pillow beside her. She carefully picked it up and looked at it. It has Scarlett written on it in Rhett's handwriting. Scarlett carefully opened the envelope and read the letter inside.
After reading this, Scarlett wept silently into her pillow. Her happiness was gone.
Prissy returned shortly after Scarlett managed to stop crying. She had a message from Helen to give to Scarlett.

Colum is coming on
Friday. We are
having a large
celebration. We
would like for you
to come. Come see me
when you are better.
