To get to the Chapter A Message Board from the Chapter A web site click on the text Chapter A�s Message
Board. You should now be at the Chapter�s Message Board. Note: If you have not yet set up a membership
with the Chapter�s message board start at step 1, otherwise go to Logging into the Message Board section.
1. Click on Join This Group! button on the right side of the web page.
2. Type in your Yahoo ID and password.
(If you don�t have a Yahoo! account set up go down to the Don�t have a Yahoo! ID? section and
click on Sign Up. After setting up a Yahoo account, log out of it and come back to the Chapter�s
message board and again click on the Join This Group! button to continue on with these instructions.)
After typing in your ID and password, click on the Sign In button.
3. The Join This Group page should now be displayed. Scroll the page down to the bottom, where you
will see a rectangular box with some wavy text (along with squiggly lines). Now type the text, exactly
as it appears, in the text box to the right. Click on the Join button.
4. The Membership Confirmed page should display. Click on the Continue text button to finish setting
up your membership to the message board.
5. The web page that comes up is additional �stuff� for your Yahoo! account not the Chapter�s message board that you thought that you were going to get. The easiest way to get back to the message board is to go back to Chapter A�s web site and click on the text Chapter A�s Message Board.
6. Now you should be back at the Chapter�s message board. To post a message, click on the text Post that
is in the purple rectangle on the left hand side of the page. After filling out the Subject and message
boxes click on the Send to finish posting your message.
7. After you are finished posting and browsing the messages don�t forget to sign out of your Yahoo!
account (unless you need to go back to you mail account the do something there). The sign out can be
found at the top of the posting web page.
8. Congratulations, you have just maneuvered through the Yahoo! message board maze. You are now an
experienced web messenger! Happy messaging.
Accessing the Message Board (for existing message board members)
1. Click on Join This Group! button on the right side of the web page.
2. Type in your Yahoo ID and password, then click on the Sign In button.
3. And you�re in.
