- Series Defense -
[ C O M M E N C E D E S T R U C T I O N ] Defense: Alright. Number one, Gundam Wing doesn't suck. If you had taken time to maybe, oh I don't know... actually WATCH the series, you may have second thoughts. If you're not willing to dig deep enough into any series, then yeah, every series will suck to you (with the exception of DBZ which has no point, only big hairy guys fighting each other in pitiful shows of light-throwing that take 5 or more episodes to even START). As for the gay thing, there's no 100% positive evidence in GW to even support the pilot's definate sexual orientation. There is no romance in the series - the creators planned it that way. In short, don't rip on a show you don't fully understand. u_u In regards to the yaoi VS non-yaoi thing #1: "Are all the pilots really gay?? No way! Heero loves Relena and that's final!" Defense: Officially speaking, no one can say that they are or are not gay. When asked about it, the GW producers said something along the lines "It's up to the veiwer's discretion." So, for me, I'd say they're yaoi. However, for someone else, they might not be. You definately have to have an open mind for if you want to dig through the AC universe past what you see in the anime. And what refrences of love for Heero and Relena are you finding? If it's the part where Duo says "Anything for the one you love", you're wrong. Directly translated, Duo says: "Now that's what I call infatuation." Infatuation merely means a high intrest in something/ someone. It doesn't mean love. Heero has a high intrest in Relena at the time because she was kidnapped. Without Relena to overveiw foreign relations between the Earth sphere and colonies, things like Mariemeia's uprising start happening. Heero wants nothing more than peace, and he's willing to do whatever it takes to maintain it. DUH! e_e; In regards to the yaoi VS non-yaoi thing #2: "I've got proof that Heero loves Relena and not Duo in the series! It's visual evidence, too!" Defense: Is it that pic where Relena's kissing an unconcious Hiirou in Endless Waltz? That scene where he collapses after "shooting" Mariemeia? That doesn't count 'cause Hiirou was incapacitated and couldn't do anything but lie there all unconcious and stuff. It only counts if Hiirou knows whats going on and can decide for himself if he wants a kiss. Lordy! o_O; That pic scares me... u_u Ah, and the Blind Target one? Remember that most people don't consider Blind Target to be official GW manga. Rather, it's considered to be a sidestory - irrelevant to the characters' true behavior. Anything goes when it comes to a sidestory... o_o In regards to Sept. 11: "Is GW full of terrorism?" Defense: GW is full of terrorism, along with all the other Gundam series. That's what makes war sometimes: specifically planned acts of terrorism on the enemy... usually just to shake their nerves or something. In regards to the above defense: "AH! It's full of terrorism! I bet Osama watches it! It's an evil show!" Defense: What the hell...? Stop pinning it all on GW! e_e; ALL the Gundam series are somewhat based around terrorism, not just GW. Terrorism is no reason to discriminate the Gundam Universes either... remember, before September 11th, movies with terrorism were big attractions at the theaters. It's not just Gundam or anime in general! Sheesh... u_u |
