"Frequently-asked-but-hard-to-answer-questions."
I've been around the web for about 4 years now and people are still asking the same questions about the characters. Heres some answers to a few. =D PLEASE submit something - question or answer - in order to fill this section up!

Q: "In Ep. 2 (The Gundam Called Death) why does Relena say "Is Heero a little prince?"
A: I think the whole "Little Prince" thing refers to a longer phrase, "Little Prince of the Stars". When she askes if Heero's a little prince, she's asking if Heero is from the colonies. Also, remember that a prince/king/whatever protects the people and bears the weight of their hope. Heero is a little prince because he is carrying the hopes of the colonies as he decends to earth.

Q: "Why does Relena stick her arm out and start talking to herself while Heero is driving away in the ambulance?"
A: Eh... that's a VERY good question! ^_^ Hell, I don't know. I don't understand half the things that girl does. x_x She probably felt like she needed to introduce herself formally to him... even though he wasn't there. o_O

Q: "How can Heero shoot himself and get blown up but is still alive?"
A: Ah, that's easy. Heero can't die because: (a) he's the main character no da, (b) he's all superhuman like, (c) his clothes are made outta Gundanium! (Ack, just a joke... Keri reads too many doujinshis! ^^). Alright I was just having a lil' fun with ya there. ^^ The truth is that no one really knows how Heero came to be superhuman. But since he IS superhuman, it's pretty hard to kill him.

Q: "How does Trieze know that the dolls will fail?"
A: Treize knows that the dolls will fail because he's a freakin' philosopher! By that, I mean he knows how people work and think. He knows that a war without people is nothing but a sick game and therefore useless to humanity. He is confident that humanity will come to realize this one day.

Q: "Howcome the gundams start to fight for the colonies and save them, but end up saving the earth?"
A: As for the pilots changing their minds, that's easy to answer. Their objectives simply changed, as happens in real life. They realized that Earth wasn't so foreign and unforgiving as the colonies had taught them. In fact, Heero even mentions that the colonies are just poor immitations of their mother, the Earth. They all decide to fight for a bigger purpose. They realize that they can't just protect the colonies, but all living things. If they didn't, then peace wouldn't work, now would it?

Q: "Are Midii Une and Lady Une the same person?"
A: Nope. Midii is at least 6 years old(born in AC 181) in the manga while Trowa is a minimum of 7(born in AC 180). That means that if Midii is still alive somewhere in the series, she'd be around 14-15ish, contrary to Lady Une's age of 19. This proves that the Une from the manga isn't the same as the Une from the series. Case closed. However, as for any family similarities... that's quite unknown. ^_^

Q: "Is it Wufei Chang or Chang Wufei?"
A: Well in some societies, like ours, the first name goes before the last. Heero should be the exception to this, but since he wasn't raised in the traditional Japanese fashion, his real name, Odin Lowe Jr., and his code name, Heero Yuy, remain in the European style. Wufei is the only one who grew up in a traditional oriental style, so there have been many debates regarding his name. And since he DID grow up that way, it is more appropriate to call him Chang Wufei than Wufei Chang. In most oriental cultures, the last names comes before in the first, as family is more important than individualism.

Q: "Did Treize LET Wufei win in the final episodes or did Treize just make a bad move? "
A: Well, think about it. Treize is a superb pilot. So is Wufei. They're both young and fit, right? However, Treize has spent a lot more time on the battlefield AND has had more of a lifespan to improve on his skills. There's a reason why he's the leader of the Earth's Forces and the former leader of OZ, ya know. Now Wufei, with all due respects, probably had a mere minimum of five years in training for Shenlong. That's not a long time compared to Treize. Treize is far too skilled to lose so easily. I mean, watch that one episode again. He could've easily dodged that attack if he wanted to. This, however, does not mean that Wu-chan NEEDS people to be nice to him in a fight. Wu always finishes his battles (somehow or another), and he won't stop for anything. Yeh, sometimes he gets a lil' carried away, but that's WHY people decide to let him win. When people let him win, he stops for a second and askes "WHY THE F**K DID YOU LET ME WIN?", you know? Eh heh... ^^; Wu HATES it when people don't fight him with everything they've got... so if you want him to pay attention, just ease up on him. I think it's called "reverse force" or something.

Q: "Howcome when the gundams fight, it's always in some area out in the open?"
A: (1) Their adopted mission is to attack guerilla style, so they do a lot of surprise attacks on military bases. Military bases are flat and expansive grounds for every reason under the sun. ^^
(2) The area is usually demolished or flattened by enemy troops by the time the Gundams get there.
(3) MSs aren't going to try and fight around crowded areas anyway since there's too much risk of failure.
(4) Space is naturally quite expansive...
And they don't always fight in open areas. Remember when Shenlong almost kinda of fought with Noin in that foresty area with the other two Leos? Or how 'bout that time when Heero had joined the Treize Faction against the new Romafeller's OZ and he got stuck fighting in that unevacuated town? Poor Quatre almost got flattened in that episode. ^^;

Q: "Where's Trowa's ass!?"
A: Um... you people ask scary questions. Oh well... all the more fun for me, ne? ^_^ Anyway, I think Trowa's butt absorbed into Heavyarm's cockpit seat. Hell, I dunno. =P

Q: "Why is Heero focused on so much in the series?! There's more than one main character, ya know! GRAWR!"
A: Actually, when you think about, none of the pilots are focused on too much in the series. Most of the episodes have to deal with the people that the pilots encounter and how THEY respond to the changing world.

Q: "I don't remember which episode, but it's the one when Heero is with Quatre (in space). He hallucinates Relena when he falls out of Wing Zero, but why did he also GLOW like an overreactive pikachu?"
A: The glowing is most likely an outward sign of renewal. Hee-chan sorta... returned to the light, ya know? ^_^ His overall mission to help bring about universal peace was clearly realized again, thus renewing Heero's senses and sharpening his distinction between ally and enemy. As a result of this realization, a light glowing is seen to symbolize his renewal to the good side of the fight. Also when your mind or attitude changes towards something important , a different air comes about you. You're surrounded by a new aurora and others usually notice it. Kind of like when you have a mood swing: everyone's happy when you're happy, but when you become gloomy, you drag everyone else down with you. The same applies to this situation. When Quatre places his hand on Heero, he absorbs the glow. Immediatly, he senses Heero's new understanding of what it means to fight for peace and suggests they go to the Sanc kingdom - a place where peace is worth defending. That was a very good question since it was a little difficult to answer. ^_^

Q: "Anybody know what Trowa's nationality is? I've read on some web sites that he was French and others he was Latin...I think he's probably Latin, though I don't recall hearing Trowa speaking any French in GW. But then again, I don't remember hearing Wufei speaking any Chinese or Quatre speaking Arabian... GAH! I'm confused!! And just what does this Latin thing mean? You mean Latino??"
A: I always figured that "Latin origin" refered to somewhere around Greece and Rome. The Romans spoke Latin... o_o Also, how many green-eyed Latinos do you see in general? I live in Southern California for gosh sakes and I've never seen any before. I think Trowa holds more of a Mediterranean look to him: fair skin, lanky build(excluding EW ^_~), brownish-toned hair(though that's common everywhere), and finally his eyes. I'll bet you'd see more green-eyed folk around Italy and Greece than Latin America... unless your looked really really hard. Don't forget to exclude hazel eyes. ^_^
Of course, there are exceptions. Quatre would be one... I guess. But then again, was Quatrina(his mom) actually Arabian to begin with? If you've read Quatre's Episode Zero, it's obvious that the little blondy takes after his mother, who is, no doubt, a blonde too. For all we know, Quatre's mom was from Switzerland. But since we don't know who our little Trowa's parents are, we can only assume from his physical features.
I just.. I can't see Trowa being from Latin America. It doesn't make sense. Think of the 5 major political powers that each pilot represents: Heero-Japan, Duo-America, Trowa-Europe, Quatre-Middle East, Wufei-China and the southern orient. It wouldn't make sense for Trowa to represent a developing political arena such as Latin America, as that arena is not a major power in the world. See? o_o
Taking all that into consideration, I say he's Mediterranean. =P C'mon! Can't you picture him in a toga?
