West Indies won the toss and elected to field first.� The decision paid off immediately when Hannan Sarkar was out first ball with Anwar Hossain (2) out ten balls later as Bangladesh slumped to 2 for 4.� Bangladesh never recovered and they went on to lose Mohammad Ashraful (6), Habibul Bashar (24) and Aminul Islam (5) before lunch.� West Indies were clearly in the ascendancy when they went to lunch with the score 5 for 70.� While less wickets fell during the afternoon session, they all fell near the end with Khaled Mashud (22), Alok Kapali (52) and Naimur Rahman (1) out within the space of 7 runs and 27 balls to leave the home side 8 for 124 at tea.� Tapash Baisya (7) and Enamul Haque (7) were soon dismissed and Bangladesh was all out for 139 soon after tea.� Collins was the best of the bowlers with 5 for 26 off 17.1 overs.� The tourists then began their reply by scoring at 3.6 runs per over to end the day at 0 for 118 and in complete control of the Test.

Bangladesh dismissed both Gayle (51) and Hinds (75) in the seventh over of the second day with the score 2 for 132.� Chanderpaul (4) followed four overs later and West Indies were 3 for 150 before Sarwan and Samuels saw then through to lunch at 3 for 218.� Bangladesh was unable to make any further breakthroughs during the afternoon session as the West Indies added another 84 runs to their lead to be 3 for 302 at tea.� Bangladesh managed to dismiss Samuels (91) and 4 for 326 and Sarwan (119) 51 runs later before ending the day at 5 for 400 with a likely match winning lead of 261 runs.

On the third morning, Bangladesh ran out Ganga (40), caught Drakes (15) and stumped Powell (16) as West Indies cruised to 8 for 493 at lunch.� Bangladesh dismissed Collins (13) and Lawson (1) to have West Indies all out for 536 runs while captain Jacobs was left stranded on 91 not out.  Talha Jubair was the best of the bowlers with 3 for 135 off 31 overs.  Bangladesh's first target was to erase the 397 runs first innings deficit.  Bangladesh managed to get the total to 30 before Hannan Sarkar (25) and Mohammad Ashraful (0) were out.  When Anwar Hossain (12) was out at tea, Bangaldesh was 3 for 44.  The final session of the day proved to be the final session of the Test.  Bangaldesh lost their remaining seven wickets for 43 more runs.  Only Hanibul Bashar (22) and Aminul Islam (12) reached double figures as Bangladesh was all out for 87 runs, handing victory to the West Indies by an innings and 310 runs.  Lawson claimed the very impressive figures of 6 for 3 off 6.5 overs - a personal best that will take some time to better.

Second Test
Chittagong

Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first.� They began solidly, scoring at over three runs per over until at 43, they lost both Al Sahariar (25) and Hannan Sarkar (15) and then Habibul Bashar (3) five runs later to suddenly crach to 3 for 48.� Bangladesh then recovered to be 3 for 88 at lunch with the West Indies holding a slight advantage.� West Indies moved to take control of the Test during the afternoon session and dismissed Mohammad Ashraful (28), Sanwar Hossain (36), Alok Kapali (2) and Enamul Haque (8) while the home side added only 56 more runs.� At tea, Bangladesh was already in trouble at 7 for 144.� West Indies wrapped up the innings for 194 runs after tea when Tapash Baisya (5), Khaled Mashud (32) and Manjural Islam (21) were dismissed.� Collins (3 for 60 off 16.1 overs) and Powell (3 for 51 off 16 overs) shared the bowling honours.� West Indies began their reply by losing Hinds (14) before play ended for the day with the score 1 for 38.

Bangladesh fought back on the second morning and dismissed Sarwan (17), Gayle (387), Chanderpaul (16) and Samuels (31) while West Indies added 111 runs to be 5 for 149 at lunch.� During the afternoon, West Indies passed the home side?s first innings total without further loss of wickets.� Ganga (63) was the only wicket to fall during the afternoon and at tea, West Indies was 6 for 257 with a lead of 63 runs.� Bangladesh dismissed Jacobs (59), Powell (1), Drakes (26) and Lawson (6) after tea to have the tourists all out for 296 with a lead of 102 runs.� Tapash Baisya was the best of the bowlers with 4 for 72 off 21.3 overs.� Bangladesh batted out the remaining 12 overs of the day without loss while reducing the deficit by 40 runs.

West Indies took control of the Test on the third morning by claiming five wickets while Bangladesh was only able to add 90 more runs.� Bangladesh added four runs before Hannan Sarkar (13) was bowled and one run later, Habibul Bashar (0) was out at 2 for 45.� Al Sahariar (34), Sanwar Hossain (24) and Mohammad Ashraful (15) soon followed and the middle order was exposed.� At lunch, Bangladesh was 5 for 130 with a lead of 28 runs.� West Indies dismissed Khaled Mashud (5) soon after lunch before the home side fought back to take the total to 6 for 210 before disaster struck.� Without another run added, Alok Kapali (85), Tapash Baisya (0) and Manjural Islam (0) were dismissed and then Talha Jubair (0) fell two runs later as Bangaldesh was all out for 212 runs.� Collins (3 for 58 off 23 overs) and Powell (3 for 36 off 13 overs) again shared the bowling honours.� Needing only 111 runs for a series whitewash, West Indies made the target with seven wickets in hand after Bangladesh dismissed Gayle (37), Hinds (26) and Sarwan (13).
