Then a black light laser took off a branch from just above her head, it almost fell on her. She pulled out her own gun and returned fire, but it seemed they had some sort of protective fields. She then decided she should get out of there. She smashed the remote starter for the freighter and then move off as fast as her legs would carry her. Heading to wards the Wormhole generator, she had to duck from one small bit of cover to the next. She came to a small square and hide behind a statue, from there she could see the gate into the square that the Cyborgs would have to use. When she noticed four Cyborgs moving through it she tossed a grenade. The explosion was devastating and pieces of Cyborg went everywhere. As soon as she could hear again, she felt Pogo in her mind. She let him know that everything was alright and to get the Wormhole generator up and running. They were going to have to get out of here quickly, as there were about four to six Cyborgs following her. He let her know that he understood and was gone from her mind.

More Cyborgs had made it into the square and so Denise had to make a very quick exit.

She turned to get out of the square but found her way blocked. The Cyborgs were all shooting at her and she had to move to better cover. She also wanted to draw the knew Cyborgs into the group as she only had one grenade left. Then all of a sudden one of the Cyborgs who had been chasing her went down in a flash of black light laser fire. She turned quickly and saw two more Cyborgs coming her way. She dodged more fire and then tossed her last grenade and took out the three that had followed her from the Space Port. The two new Cyborgs kept coming towards her and a slight panic went through her. Then the two new Cyborgs lifted there weapons and she saw the blasts of Black light come towards her. They passed on either side of her and see turned just in time to see them hit a Cyborg that had come out from cover. Denise turned back to her two Cyborg saviors and realized it was Finster and Grady. Denise smiled and said,

"Am I ever glad to see you two, I thought I was a goner for a minute." Grady said,

"Don't thank us yet. There are more on there way."

Denise decided they should move to the Wormhole generator and make a stand there. They would set up an ambush for how ever many were following them. When they got to the Wormhole generator they found only, Pogo, Graham and Martine were the only ones there. Denise didn't think this would be enough to stop them, so she said,

"Everyone through the Wormhole." Her, Grady and Finster were the last one's on the planet and where just about to go through when explosions of rock and Black light started all around them. She was moving for the Wormhole when she heard a muffled cry, turning she saw Grady with a laser burn right through him. It looked as if he had been protecting her and taken the blast. The smell of burnt flesh filled her nostrils and her eyes filled with tears. He started to dissolve and she turned and ran for the Wormhole. The black lasers blasts exploded all around her and she thought she even saw it hit the stone ring as she jumped though it.

As soon as she came flying out of the Wormhole it dissolved. She went flying across the floor and ended up wrapped around a rock protrusion. Her chest felt like she had been bear hugged by a Weren. She slowly sat up and Christine was there and said,

"Where does it hurt?" Denise looked at her a little sarcastically and said,

"Where doesn't it hurt would be a better question." Christine quickly scanned her with her medical gauntlet. She looked at the readings and found Denise had been lucky. She only had a couple of bruised ribs. She gave her a shot for the pain and then helped her up. Denise at once noticed Connor and Linda were at the door keeping watch down the hall, after all the Jamcian Syndicate were not going to be happy when they found out what they had done.

She then saw Aleerin was hooked up to the Wormhole generator. She said,

"How did it fair, I thought I saw it get hit when I jumped through it."

"Statement: It appears/seems to be broken/non-functioning. The radio/communication devise seems to work/function properly, but that is all." They a view screen with Vergus's image came on, and Denise said,

"Vergus what happened to Grackless?"

"I monitored the ship until it jumped into Drive space. Then I lost it."

"That is interesting, because we can monitor ships in Drive space, but maybe it is because of the sabotage we did to the ship." She then paused for a second. Then said, "We also have a small problem with the Wormhole generator. I think it got hit on your end, can you fix it?"

"I will look into that and see what I can do. Did my little lizard friend make it back alright?" Yalp chimed in and said,

"Yah, I made it, and I think I have figured out how to use our communication technology with yours."

"That is interesting, so we will be able to stay in contract with each other. That may help with any problems I may face in the future." Denise said,

"Vergus, we have to go now and report in. Please let us know what you find out about the Wormhole generator. By the way does that thing have a name?"

"Well yes, but you would be unable to say it, so you may call it The Portal."

"Good we will be in contact soon."

Denise then had the group to gather by the door. When they were all together she said,

"Ok people we are almost safe. Pogo can you contact Huntly and Beighur and tell them we are on our way to the pick up point."He nodded and she continued, "Connor you and Pogo take the lead and remember the place is full of Robots and Cyborgs." They all moved out and headed for the back door they had used to get into the caves. The corridors were quite and there was a cold breeze blowing through them. Everyone had their weapons at the ready and there was a unusual tension running through the group. They rounded the corner and almost walked right into a group of both Cyborgs and Robots.
