Introduction

The young girl sat facing the desk with the elderly man behind it. Dave's life had been very active and it showed on his body, but he was still straight of back, and had an intelligent glint in his eye. His face was wrinkled and well weathered, but this just gave him character. The young woman was the exact opposite. She had the energy and enthusiasm of someone just starting out in life. At only twenty-five years old she was just starting out. Her golden blond hair and very pleasant figure made Dave wish he were forty years younger. He would have asked her to dinner. 'Oh what the hell,' he thought. Then he said,

"So you think your readers would really like to know how the Morkry Agency came into being. It is not a pretty story and we made a few mistakes that almost cost us our lives a few times. Not to mention the world as we know it."

"That is what I want to know about. I think my readers would love to know how you came to be the foremost authority on Aliens, Dimensional Begins and anything that could not normally be explained. Your group has saved the world more times then we know about, and I think you deserve the recognition for what you have done."

"All right why don't you let me take you to dinner and I will tell you all about it." She looked at him and a sweet little smile crossed her face.

"Can I trust you to be a gentleman?"

"No but I think you will be pretty safe after all I am now a little over sixty years old." She laughed because she knew him to be at least eighty.

"Ok, I guess I can always tell your wife if you get out of control." At that, Dave smiled.

They went to the pub that the original group stilled owned and got a table. Dave ordered a beer while Lisa; the youthful reporter had a glass of wine. Lisa said,

"Wow, this is where it all started isn't it?"

"Well not really, but we will get to that." They had dinner and talked about what it was like to be a writer. When dinner was over Dave said,

"Well I guess we should get down to it or we could be here until next week some time." He got another beer and started into the story. It all started about forty years ago, long before any government or even the general population knew anything about Aliens or other Dimensions. The world was a nice place to live the only problems were ones we had created for ourselves. All the people who eventually became our main operatives where working in a restaurant together. They did not have any special interest in the unusual they were all just good people. Dave got quite as he was thinking about all of his friends and what had happened to them over the years. Lisa saw that Dave was reminiscing and let him have his moment. After a couple of minutes, she cleared her throat to bring him back to the conversation. Dave apologized for his wondering thoughts and got back to the background information. You should also try to understand that in those years the government, for good reason was suspected of covering up a lot of things, not just aliens but almost anything. They always said it was for the good of the people. I don't know about that but it sure did give certain organizations a lot of power.

Dave then took a drink of his beer and continued,

"I guess I am not telling you anything you do not already know, that is if you have done your home work into your story." She nodded and said,

"But it is always good to get the perspective of a person who was there. You add to the back ground and it helps to give me a feel for the time."

"Good, I just thought I was boring you." Dave then took another big swallow of his beer and started into the story.
