Denise gets up from her lay down. She had not slept. She came out to the lounge to find Dave on the computer. He was looking over the lay out of the Chateau again. She asked,

"Do you think he is here?" Dave looked up from the computer and said,

"Yes and I think I know where he is."

"Really can we go and get him now?"

"No it is going to take a lot of work to get him out of where I think he is. We are going to have to wait until the party is in full swing, that way we will not be disturbed."

"Well then we had better get into our costumes. It is almost time for the party to start." Dave made his way into his bedroom and looked at his costume that was laid out on the bed. He thought about it for a moment and, 'it is ironic, me going to the party as Buck Rogers.' The costumes had been supplied to they by their host, as were everyone else's costumes. He wondered did they know who they were and what they were up to. After a second he put the thought aside and got changed. He came out to find everyone except Denise was all ready to go. Darren was Flash Gordon; Suzanne was Captain Janeway from Star Trek Voyager. Denise came out of her bedroom and her costume was Princess Laya from Star Wars.

Dave said,

"Does it seem strange to you that we all have costumes of famous people to do with outer space."

"Now that you mention it but maybe that is the theme of the party."

"We will just have to deal with what ever they throw at us, maybe they know who we are and maybe they don't," said Darren.

They left the room and headed down to back garden where the party was going to be held. Walking out to the garden was like stepping on to the moon; the whole area was set up as a space theme. This put their minds at ease about the costumes. They wondered around and found there was even a space walk simulator there. The whole thing was amazing it was like walking onto every space movie ever made. They took a tour of the ship from a Space Odessy 2001, The computer Hal was even functional and could identify them. They asked the attendant how that was possible and they explained it was the costumes. Wondering around some more they came to the moon of Endor from the Star Wars movie. There where Ewoks everywhere. Dave noticed that they moved a little unusually, he pointed it out to Darren and he said,

"Yah, I noticed that to, do you think they could be Greys?"

"Maybe, but that would be good. The more out here the less in the catacombs."

Leaving there they went to the bar and got a round of drinks, then start to mingle. They wonder around for about an hour before they meet up again and decide it is time to get on with their plan. They split up into pairs and make there way to the door into the basement. They have no problem getting there, but have to wait her some people walking by to move on. Once the coast is clear they quickly move down the stairs to the security door. Dave tries it and found it was still open. They open it and move it, once inside they all pull out flashlights and their guns.

Looking around they seem to be in a normal basement. There is an area full of boxes all piled up as if they were being stored. There were two doors out of the room not counting the one they had come in. Darren said,

"Should we split up or stay together." Dave looking at the map said,

"I think they will meet up further into the basement but just to be sure we should plan to meet up in this room here." He then showed everyone the map and the room they were to meet in. After Darren and Suzanne had looked it over, they started out one of the doors. When they were gone Dave and Denise started out, the other way.

Suzanne turned to Darren and said,

"I think we should turn off the flash lights and use our goggles. They have a night light feature and no one will see are light before we see them." They put on their goggles and turned off their lights. They could see just fine but everything had a slight green tint to it. They continued on checking room after room but did not find any signs of people have been down there recently. They kept going and eventually came to the room they were to meet up with Dave and Denise.

Dave and Denise had not had any better luck. They had checked out all the rooms on their side of the map, but there had been no sign of people being down there at all. They met up with Suzanne and Darren and Dave said,

"This room us to be the entrance to the catacombs, but it does not say exactly where." Suzanne and Darren had taken off their goggles and were using their lights to check out the walls, as were Denise and Dave. They spent almost an hour looking over the walls but could find noting. They sat down to try and think it through; Denise took out her goggles and started to look around the room with them on. She said,

"Turn off your lights I think I have found something." They did as she said, and she moved over to a section of the wall. Looking at it more closely she noticed light coming from a small crack in the wall. Looking more closely she saw that the crack was straight up and down.

"This is it, it must be the door." They all put on their goggles and started to check it out. Yes there was a hidden door there, now all they had to do was figure out how to open it. That did not take to long once they knew where it was.

They were about to open the door when Darren said,

"We should be ready for anything." Then he put his silencer on his gun. The others looked at him as if to say is that really necessary. Darren said,

"What do you think they will do to us if they catch us down here?" They all slowly put their silencers on there own guns. Darren then got into a position to cover the door as Denise opened it up. They were momentarily blinded buy the light coming from the door. When their eyes had adjusted Darren fired twice as there were two Greys standing there. Darren hit them both right in the chest.

They moved into the room and Darren checked out the Greys on the floor, they were dead. Suzanne moved to them to try and help them but she could tell it was to late. She looked at Darren and said,

"Did you have to kill them?"

"Maybe not but I do not think they were reaching for those things on their hips to stamp our wrists so we could come and go as we please." Denise looked at the Greys again, and noticed that they both had their hands on what looked like two very nasty looking side arms. Darren reached down and pulled them both free of their holsters and gave one to Denise and Suzanne. He then noticed that there were two pouches of what looked like clips for the weapons, so he grabbed those also, and gave they to the girls.

They then looked around the room. It looked like a small security room for the entrance. There was one door leading out of it. They found nothing of use so they moved to the door. They had their weapons ready and opened the door. There they saw a hall leading away from them. The hall was all metal, floor, walls and ceiling. It was hard to keep quiet but they did there best as they walked down it. Dave looked at the map he had of the catacombs and said,

"We should be coming up to a tunnel off to the left. That tunnel, should lead to a large cavern about a hundred yards further along. I think we should check it out before we move along to where I think Chris is." They came to the tunnel just about where Dave said it would be.

They followed the tunnel and just as they were about to come into the cavern they stopped. Dave went ahead to make sure that the way was clear. He rounded a small corner and got down into a crouch. The cavern was there but it was much bigger then the map had indicated. He figured that the Greys had enlarged it. He looked around and saw about twenty of what looked like flying saucers. There seemed to be at least three different types of ships. Dave then noticed there was a large tunnel at the far end of the cavern, this is where the ships must come in. He marked that on his map, they could us it as an escape route if necessary. Greys were everywhere working on the ships and Dave had to stay hidden. He also noticed that there were also a couple of dozen humans working on the ships this did not make sense if they were here to take over the earth.

He moved back to where everyone else was waiting and said,

"It looks like some sort of a space port. There are ships all over the place and there are humans working on the ships. If they are planing to take over the world and kill off all the humans why would these humans be helping them?" Darren looked at him and said,

"That's simple they don't know of the Greys plans. We would never have known what they were up to if it had not been for Mil."

"Yes I guess you are right, but it does seem weird." Denise then said,

"We are here to find Chris or have you forgotten about that." The two men looked at her and were about to say something when then noticed the concern in her eyes. Then Darren said,

"OK, lets move on. We can always check this out latter."

They moved down to the main corridor again and continued on with their search. Dave checked his map and said,

"I think we should head into this area. It looks like the most likely spot for cells of any type." They looked at the map and figured they had to go through about half the complex to get to the area Dave suggested. They moved out with Suzanne on point and Dave on rear guard. They made their way through numerous rooms. Some seems to be for storage while others they had no clue what they were for. There did not see any Greys and figured that they were all at the party for some reason. Moving into the area Dave had suggested they took extra caution as there would probably be guards or an alarm of some sort.

Suzanne took extra care moving but did not see any security measures at all. They finally came to an area that had cells in it. They looked into them and in the third one they found Chris. Denise said,

"Chris, are you OK," He was lying on a cot and did not look around at first. Then he figured he was not imagining the voice, he quickly looked to the door. There was a viewing window and he could see Denise's face looking in at him. He jumped up and said,

"Boy am I glad to see you, can you get me out of here?"

"We will have you out in no time." Then she looked down at the door. There was no lock or even a handle. She said,

"How do the doors open?"

"They slide into the wall, there is a button for each cell down at the end of the corridor, but there was a guard there when I came in."

"OK, we will go and get it opened." Denise did not wait she just pulled her gun and started to walk down the hall. When she was about half way to a control panel on the wall, a Grey came out of a little side room. Denise did not hesitate; she fired with her own weapon. The angle she had on the Grey was not good and she only wounded it. The Grey at once pulled it's own weapon and fired back, luckily it missed Denise with a blast of blue energy. Denise then fired again this time she hit the Grey right between the eyes. It was dead before it hit the ground. Denise moved on and got to the control panel. Darren had run up behind Denise to give her cover while Dave had stayed to cover the other end of the hall.

Dave turned to Suzanne and found her crumpled on the ground. He moved quickly over to her and checked her out. Her right arm had been hit by the blue energy beam and was burnt very bad. Dave checked her breathing and found her to be alive but she was unconscious. He said,

"Get that door open quick we have to get out of here as soon as possible. Suzanne has been hurt and we have to get her back to the plane and to some medical facilities." Darren turned to see, but Denise had just got to the control panel started to hit buttons. After about the third try she got Chris's door open.

He rushed out and said,

"Great, now lets get Suz out of here." He picked her up and said, "lead on Dave. Before we have more friends show up." Chris also grabbed Suzanne's gun with his free hand. Dave lead the way back through the halls they had come down, but when they were only about half way out they heard an alarm sound behind them. Darren said,

"They must have found the dead guard. Things are going to be a lot more difficult from here on out. I don't think we should go back to the Chateau."

"Well how about we go out through the tunnel that the flying saucers come in through. That should bring us out away from the house and we can call in the other team to pick us up," said Dave.

They all thought about it for a few minutes then nodded their agreement. Dave then took the point with Darren and the rest came up behind them. They made it to the point where Dave had scouted out the space port before. There was away down but they would be out in the open. Dave said,

"I will go down while you cover me, then I will cover you from the bottom." Darren nodded yes and Dave moved out into the open. He made his way down onto the floor of the cavern without anyone seeing him. He then found some cover where he could see and signaled Darren to send down Chris. Chris took a little longer with Suzanne over his shoulder. They had still not been seen. Denise came down next and had almost got to the bottom when they heard a man shout at her. Darren did not hesitate and took the man out with two shoots, but the damage had been dune.

The only good thing was that most of the Greys or humans in the port were not armed. So after a show of force in the way of a burst of bullets, most of them took off. There were still a couple of Greys who were armed with the blue energy weapon. Darren took out two of them from the vantage spot he had up on top. While Dave, Denise and Chris had an on going gun battle with three more. The shots were being exchanged and all three of them had near misses on them. They were running low on ammunition when Dave signaled Chris that he was going to try and get around behind them. Chris nodded and gave him all the cover he could. Dave moved quickly and got to a spot where he had a good angle on two of them, but he was also in the open to return fire. He decided that it was more important to get out of here as quickly as possible.

He aimed at the first Grey and got him by surprise. That one went down he moved with all the speed he could and the blue flashes just missed him by inches. He took aim at the Grey who had just fired on him and let go two shots. The first caught the Grey in the shoulder while the second went wide. The Grey was now hurt but not out of the picture. Dave moved for cover as another blue flash flew over his head. Then he heard two shots ring out and heard Chris say,

"He is down lets get the last one." Darren said,

"The last one is gone, it moved out as you were moving in on those last two." Chris moved back and got Suzanne and group started to move out the tunnel. The tunnel was about a mile long but when they were only about half way long it the ground started to heave and shake. They started to run as the roof started to come crumbling down. There were pieces of rocks from as small as dust to as large as a van falling from the roof. They had to dodge around the bigger pieces as they ran for their lives. Chris was running with Suzanne on his shoulder when a large boulder landed not ten feet from him. It exploded on impact; Chris went down from the battering that he took from flying fragments of rock. Suzanne now had a cut on her fore head to go along with her burnt shoulder. Dave saw what had happened and picked up Suzanne while Darren helped Chris to his feet. They continued on there way out. They were almost to the end when a huge section of the roof came down in front of them.

They could not go over it with rock falling all around them. They all looked around and Denise said,

"There! There is a small cave where we can wait out this earthquake." they made there way towards it and got inside. Just as they did that another large piece of rock fell from the roof. They huddled in their little shelter for another couple of minutes until the worst of it seemed to be over. When everything had calmed down Darren went over and checked Suzanne out. She was not any worse off then before but she would have a nasty headache. Denise was checking Chris out at the same time. He was in worse condition; he had a broken leg.

While all this was going on Dave had moved out of the cave. The way back into the spaceport was completely blocked. Their way out of the tunnel was mostly blocked, but he could still see light coming through. He figured it would not take them to long to have a way out. He moved back into the cave and got a report on injuries. Considering they had gotten off very lightly. He then told them they could get out but it was going to take a little work. Darren said,

"Well let's get out and at it." Dave and Darren worked on the cave exit for about twenty minutes and they had enough room for them to crawl out. They went back and got the rest of the people and started to help everyone out of the tunnel. It did not take them long as everyone wanted out and worked at getting through the rubble.

Once they were outside and under cover Denise pulled out a radio she had brought with her. She called the plane and Angie answered at once. They told her where they were and that they needed an immediate pick up. Angie told her to hold and called up to Graham to head in on the co-ordinates that she had traced the down team to. Graham brought the plane around and headed for them. Angie called them back and said they would be there in a couple of minutes. She then asked if there was a place for the plane to land. Denise told her yes and said She would get Dave to build a signal fire. Denise then sent Dave out to build the fire. Dave got the fire going just as Denise could hear the plane coming closer. Graham told them that he could see the smoke and he was maneuvering into a position to land.

The plane came in just like it was landing on it's own pad. It touched down softly and Graham set the engines in an idle mode. The door opened and Jeniffer and Denzel came out to help the wounded on to the plane. It took them a couple of moments to get every one on board the plane. Chris and Suzanne were taken to the sick bay and Maureen started to attend to there wounds. Dave, Darren and Denise went into the conference room where Christine, Chico and Angie were looking at the aerial photos of the explosion sight. Graham had gone back to the sick bay as his wound was bleeding again. He had ripped it open during his fight to keep the plane from crashing. In the sick bay he found Chris getting his leg set and put into a cast. Graham asked,

"How is Suz?" Maureen turned to him and saw the blood and said,

"Better then you. Now sit down so I can fix that bandage again." Chris said,

"What happened to you?" Graham explained what his team had gone through and what they had seen. Then Chris told his story. He did not remember his capture or most of what had happened while he was in the Grey's base. He told him about the escape and the cave-in. Graham explained that that was probably from the explosion of the other base. After the stories were finished Chris's leg was cast and Graham was bandaged.

They then went to the conference room where they were all caught up and were looking at the aerial photos. They had them in the computer so they could enlarge them on demand. Christine was showing them up on the screen and pointing out the unusual things they saw. She started typing and the section of the picture that looked like there was a person on it was blown up. She kept making it bigger and bigger until they could make out who it was. The whole group was amazed because Mil was standing in front of the pool of energy. It looked like a whirlpool of swirling different colors of light. They enhanced the next picture the same as that one and found a head coming through the whirlpool. They then moved to the next one and found that what ever was coming through was through. It had the body of some sort of humanoid attached to the body of some sort of four-legged lizard. The head was very unusual; it was large and had two sets of horns on it. They then moved to the next picture and found Mil standing next to a human in a business suit, and the creature was gone.

No one knew what to say it was obvious that Mil knew more about the base then he had lead them to believe. Christine said,

"We have to go see what he is up to. If he has used us to further his own goals. He may be even more dangerous then the Greys, And what was that thing that was with his before that man showed up and who was he?

Graham and Christine headed up to the cabin and prepared for lift off. They got the plane into the air and headed out of the Duke's property. Once they were out Graham spun the plane around and they headed for the landing sit that was near the cave. It only took them a couple of minutes and they were there. The landing sit was a mess but still clear enough to land. Between the two of them they got the plane landed and in one piece. Maureen, Graham, Chris and Suzanne all stayed with the plane while everyone else got armed to the teeth. They did not know where that big red centaur like lizard had gone so they wanted to be prepared.

They moved out of the plane and started off towards the cave. The jungle was a mess; there were trees down all over the place. They could barely make out the path they had used with the natives. Finding their way, climbing over trees and cutting through the under growth they finally got to within about a 1000 yards of where the cave mouth had been. When they got there they could not believe their eyes. There was just a big crater, but they expected that. What they had not expected was the crater was full of swirling lights of all the colors imaginable. The lights were both bright and dull all at the same time, it was fascinating. There was also a strong feeling of static electricity in the air; it made the hairs on their arms stand on end. After staring at this for a few moments Christine noticed a movement off to there left.

The group moved off in that direction. They found what had caught their eye. It was Mil and he was in the middle of some sort of incantation. He was manipulating the lights in the crater some how. Then another head similar to the first one they had seen on the photos started to rise from the pool of lights. Christine raised her Uzi and fired a blast at Mil, but the bullets just bounced off some sort of wall that was surrounding him. Mill turned towards them and as he did his image changed. He quickly went from golden light humanoid, to a 10-foot tall red skinned monster. His body was rippling with muscles and his hands seem to be getting much larger. Nails, no claws were growing on the ends of his fingers. They looked as though they could rip the throat of a man out in one swipe. His head was also growing and became about twice the size of a head you would expect to see even on a ten-foot tall body. His eyes that were looking at them turned a flat slate gray, and there was no pupil or iris in them. It had no nose just two big black holes for air to get and it had four sets of horns on it's head. Two sets on top and two more on its chin. In between all this was the most hideous mouth that they had ever seem. It looked to have a hinged jaw like a snake, so it could swallow things hole. The teeth also backed up this idea. There were two rows on the top and bottom of the jaw. They were all slightly angled back into his mouth. This made them like little barbs so nothing could get out.

He said in a deep resonating voice,

"Ah, my little helpers are here. Come and see one of my little pets I have brought to your world." At that moment the thing in the light pit let out a bellow that would have curdled any ones blood. "Yes my pet I know you are hungry. I have just brought you a little snack." At hearing these words Christine opened fire on the creature in the pool of light. She gave it all the bullets that were left in her clip. The thing seemed hurt but not badly but looked very pissed off. Then Denise and Darren came up both holding a Grey's weapon in their hands and opened fire on it.

The bursts of light ripped into the beast in the light pool and this time they did a get deal of damage. Mil bellowed out in rage,

"STOP, you are killing him." Christine looked over at him. She had a Greys rifle in her hands and said,

"Yes I know," She fired and hit Mil right in the chest. To any other creature that burst of energy would have cut them right in half, but Mil was not normal. The blast had hurt him as he tried to get out of the way of the second blast. Jeniffer and Denzel had come up beside her and also opened fire on Mil. While all the rest were attacking the creature in the pit.

The creature was not going down with out a fight and they found out the hard way that it could breathe fire. Dave had been maneuvering to get a better angle when the creature had turned on him and spit flames on him. Dave's clothes burst into flames and he at once dropped to the ground and started to roll to put out the flames. Christine ran to him and started to help him put the flames out. About a couple of minutes later they got the flames out and Christine noticed that the creature was looking to blow off more flames. She opened up on the creature and hit it right in between the eyes. She watched as the blast hit it and the creature's head exploded. The flames shot out like a fireball exploding. They all hit the ground and were splattered with flaming flesh. Then looking up they watched the creature. It slowly sunk back into the Swirling light and was gone from sight. Mil yelled,

"You killed my Pet. He will now be drifting between the planes forever. You don't know what suffering you have caused him."

They all turned on Mil with their guns raised, Darren said,

"What have you done?" Mil looked at them and there was fear in his eyes. He said,

"I am a creature from an other dimension, I was brought here by accident about 500 years ago. In all that time I have hidden my true identity, when I found out about the Greys and the type of power they use in there base I knew I could open a portal back to my own dimension. The problem was that I could not go through the portal but could only call my Pets to me. So that is what I was doing, but not for the reason you think. With all of us here we could combine our strength and open a portal so we could go back home." Denise looked at him and said,

"You expect us to believe that, all you have done is lied to use since we met you. If you want to go back to your own plane why did you just not ask for our help?"

"I was afraid you would not help me, don't forget I have been on your world for 500 years. Your development as a people has not been without incidents of prejudice against the unknown. If you were me would you have done it?" They all looked at each other, but none could say for sure that they would not have done exactly what Mil had done. Mil said,

"All this is irrelevant, containing the energy from the explosion has taken more out of me then I had anticipated. I will probably not last the day."

Darren looked at him and said,

"What are you talking about?"

"The explosion of that reactor would have destroyed your world if I had not focused the power into a dimensional rift. It took all of my power to do it. Well at least I thought I could control it."

"You mean you sent us out into a situation where we could have destroyed our own world?" said Denise.

"Well yes and no. If I had not been there yes your world would have been destroyed, but I was there and I did focus the power so no. Beside you did have to do some thing about the Greys they were trying to take over your world and the Duke was working with them. Well sort of his wife is a witch and had cast a spell over him to do her bidding. She was actually the one in league with the Greys. Your world is a much stranger place then you think it is."

"Witches, aliens, dimensional beings, this all getting just a little to weird for me," said Darren.

"I have studied your magic with the hope of finding a way back to my own dimension, but no luck. I have all my research in Toronto, he then held out his hand and the piece of paper floated off it and into Darren's hand. You will need this knowledge, as you have made some powerful enemies today."

Mill then fell to his knees. He had the look of someone that had just run a marathon and was about to keel over from exhaustion. Denise then knelt down beside him and slowly lowered him to the ground. She said,

"Is there anything we can do for you?" Mill looked up into her eyes and said,

"Yes if you ever get to my home plane, could you give this amulet to my people. They will give my spirit the proper rights to let it go to our heaven." She looked down into his eyes and said,

"I will do my best but I do not know where to start?" She looked to him for an answer but he was gone. Looking up at the rest of the group She said,

"We have to cremate him, I don't know if I will ever get to his home plane to help his soul be free so we have to try and set it free now. Besides we can not let anyone find him. Imagine want would happen?" They set him a flame there in the jungle and Denise said a few words over the flames.

They then made their way back to the plane. Explaining to everyone on the plane what had happened, as they flew back to Toronto. When Graham heard about the study Mil had done on Magic he ask Darren for the paper. Darren gave it to him, as he had no interest in any hocus pocus, as he put it. After returning to Toronto most of the group did not want anything else to do with anything that weird. They just sat around the pub recovering from injuries and getting on with their lives.
