The next morning they woke to a beautiful sunny day. In the light of day they could see they were staying in a beautiful villa, the walls were all made from a soft pink stone that took their breath away. It was a large place with well-kept gardens and a pool, and off to one side they could see a garage with an assortment of vehicles. Graham headed for the kitchen and found a woman there. She said,

"Good morning. I am Marie the house keeper, cook and everything else, can I get you some breakfast."

"Yes thank you. Just some fruit." Marie then went about making up a fruit plate for him, while Graham poured himself a coffee. As he was pouring he said,

"Marie is his Jeniffer's place?"

"Yes, Ms. Boucher owns this place and a couple of others around the world."

"How long have you been with her?"

"About five years. Here is your breakfast would you like it on the back porch."

"Yes, thank you."

He sat on the porch and asked Marie for a phone, she brought him out the phone and plugged it in. He thanked her and called information and got the number for SMI. Then he called there and asked for Christine. It rang about four times then a man answered. Graham said,

"Hello is this Ms. Christine Coleman's room?"

"Yes, may I ask who is calling?"

"Yes, this is her husband." Graham could not help but have his little joke on Christine. Jason put his hand over the phone and said,

"There is a guy on the phone who says he is your husband?"

"Jason, I am not married and I never have been." she took the phone from him and said,

"Who is this, I don't think this is very funny."

"Are you having a good time?" said Graham.

"Graham is that you? Where are you?" said Christine.

"We are in La Paz. So what is going on there except for the obvious?"

"Things have not changed from when I sent the message. Are you coming out here?"

"I don't know, we have not really made any plans. I just wanted to let you know we are here. Can you come to us sometime today?"

"Yes but not until about dinner time."

"OK, I will set up a meeting for about six o'clock. Call me on your cell phone to my cell and I will give you directions."

Christine got out of bed after hanging up the phone. She smiled at Jason as she got ready to go to the hospital.

"That was a friend of mine, really I am not married." He smiled and said,

"Not yet." Then he got up and dressed. Kissing her, he left and headed for his own apartment Christine left for the hospital. When she got there she found Nurse Wallace at the same desk she had left her the night before. Christine said,

"Good morning," but Nurse Wallace just gave her a clip board and said,

"Could you please go and give these patients their medicine. Then you can do your rounds and make sure everything is in order. If you have any questions just come and ask." Christine made her way to the room and found it was the one that held Chris and Denise, what a lucky break. She opened the door and walked in. She went first to Chris's bed but he was very heavily drugged. She then went to Denise's bed. Giving her a shake Denise woke up with a start. She was facing away from Christine and she said,

"What? Who is there?" Then she rolled over to see who it was. "Christine is that you? How? What are you doing here?"

"How is not important, but we are here to get you out. Not right now but hopefully in the next couple of days. You will have to pretend to be asleep most of the time because that is what your medication would do to you."

"How is Jessie? Who is looking after her?"

"She is with your mother and the last time we checked everything is OK, so don't worry. You will have to tell Chris when he come to, he is to out of it now." Denise nodded that she understood.

"I have to go now but I will be back whenever I can." Denise said,

"Thanks, for the help and to ease my mind about Jessie. Come back soon this place gives me the creeps. Oh Christine, I don't know if it is important, but I think I heard the doctor say we would be tested soon. I am not sure for what or when, but it might help."

Christine did the rest of her rounds it was all pretty routine. Then near the end of them she met up with Dr. Moody. She asked,

"Can you give me a ride into town that tonight." She paused then said, "I have to meet my husband at six o'clock".

"Well only if I get to meet him, but it would all depend on whether I can get a car from the motor pool or not." The garage had phoned him about his car, it was a right off. She was surprised it had not looked that bad, but then again she had been pretty drunk. He also add another condition, she had to make him dinner. She smiled and said,

"Your place or mine?"

"Mine, I have food this time." They then went there separate ways. Christine finished her shift and headed back to her apartment.

At the house in La Paz everyone was up now. Angie said,

"We should go take a look at this place. We need as much information as possible."

"I have made a map of all the parts of the place that I know about, and any security that goes with them,"said Jeniffer. She then put a map on the table and started to point out the features that she knew about. After she was done Angie said,

"We still have to go out there and see what is what."

Jennifer told them there were clothes up stairs that would help them to blend into the jungle. Graham, Suzanne and Darren went up and changed. They came down looking like a troop of Rambo's minus the muscles. Angie checked them each out and said,

"You should each have a knife and a compass." They all nodded that they did and she said I guess we are ready to go. Moving out to the garage they all climbed into a jeep. They had to sit on a big bag that looked like the one from the plane, but which one Graham could not tell. Heading out of town they had almost reached SMI when Jeniffer pulled the jeep off onto a side road. Driving for about ten minutes she pulled the jeep off the road and they got out. Jeniffer told them that SMI was about a mile west of their position.

Graham and Suzanne, it was decided went with Jeniffer, they were going to check out the gate and the security around it. Jeniffer went to the jeep and unzipped the bag. Looking through the bag she found what she wanted it was some sort of meter. Graham also noticed her take out a small handgun, which she quickly hid in her jacket. She also grabbed a machete. They started off; the vegetation was not to thick, but the further they got from the road the thicker it became. Jeniffer was in the lead clearing a path with the machete. They walked for about an hour until Jeniffer called a break. She told them they were about fifty yards from the gate, and they would have to be as quiet as possible from here on in. She then sheathed the machete and started making her way through the under brush. The going was much harder with out the cut trail to follow. The last fifty yards seemed longer then the rest of the walk combined.

They finally got to within ten feet and could just barely see the gate threw the thick vegetation. Behind it and to the right was a guardhouse of some sort, but they could not see into it from where they were. If they moved to get a better view they would have to cross the road and would be in the open. Jeniffer waved for them to follow her and headed for the wall near the guardhouse. Signaling, that there were two guards in the guardhouse. She looked at the wall and signaled not to touch it. Graham looked confused then saw a black box every ten feet attached to the wall. He figured it was either electrified or had an alarm on it, all though he was not sure if a wall could be electrified.

Jeniffer signaled for them to move down the wall away from the guardhouse. They moved off as quietly as possible. When they were about a hundred yards down the wall it changed to a fence she signaled a stop. Then looking at the fence she said,

"I am going to cut the fence so we can go through."

"But what about those black boxes, what are they?"

"The fence is electrified, all I have to do is by pass a section and we can have a door and no one will know." Graham and Suzanne both nodded. Jeniffer pulled the meter out of her pocket and went to work. After a couple of seconds she called Suzanne to help her. She needed Suzanne to put the connectors on to the fence at the same time she did. Suzanne got the connector and Jeniffer showed her ware it had to go. Jeniffer then said

"OK, One, two, three, connect." There was a small spark on Suzanne's side but that was about it. They did this three more times then Jeniffer started to cut the fence. It took her only a second to get through the fence. She then held it open and let Graham and Suzanne move through. Then Jeniffer made her way after them. She said,

"Now we have to move to the guard house. Once there we will just look. We do not want them to know we are here.

They started to move towards the guardhouse. Trying to be as quiet as possible. Jeniffer was in the lead. They moved a couple of yards then stopped and listened. This went on until they were only about 10 yards from the guardhouse. Jeniffer signaled for them to stay there while she scouted ahead. Moving off, Graham and Suzanne waited, but after about 10 minutes they heard a noise. They could not be sure what it was and deciding to go and investigate. They moved off towards where the noise had come from, trying to be as quiet as possible, splitting up. Suzanne came to a clearing and saw that Jeniffer was being held at gunpoint.

At that moment she saw Graham and he was behind the guard. She thought 'Graham can jump the guard but she would have to distract him.' She got Graham's attention and winked at him as she walked from cover. The guard said,

"Stop," and this gun swung towards her. Graham saw his chance and took it. He rushed out from cover and moved at the guard. The guard must have heard him for he started to turn around, but at the same time Graham gave him a perfect round house kick. It knocked the gun out of the guard's hand and staggered him backwards. He recovered quickly and started to move towards Graham. Not giving the guard anymore time to recover Graham kicked him hard right in the groin. The guard dropped like a bag of bones. Jeniffer quickly moved over to the guard and tied him up. Then she turned to Suzanne and Graham and said,

"Let's get out of here." They moved to the hole in the fence and made their way to the jeep. Then they waited for either an alarm or for Darren and Angie to come back.

Angie led Darren farther away from the gatehouse. They walked along the fence until they found a way in. It was a small creek running through the fence, crawling under the fence in the creek they were in. Once in they made there way to where they thought the hospital was. It took them a couple of minutes until they got to the lawn. Then quickly moving across the lawn they found cover near a large building. Angie pulled out a pair of field glasses and looked over the building. It was the hospital, she could tell from the brass plaque by the door. Angie said,

"We are going in. We need to know the layout of the place." They walked in and Angie told Darren,

"Just pretend you are a patient and I will do all the talking." Angie quickly survived the area. They were in the reception area and there were two stair cases leading up to the next floor. Behind the reception desk was a large in door garden. There were also doors on either side of the room, but Angie decided these were probably offices and it would attracted attention if they entered the wrong one. Moving to the stairs on the right they headed up to the top floor and Angie said,

"Try to remember as much as possible. We need a map of this place when we get back." They walked through and got a good mental picture of the place, they were just about to leave when someone called them from behind. Angie turned and a woman in a nurse's uniform said,

"What are you doing?"

"I am taking my brother out for some sun."

"I am sorry but you have to check with the desk first, some of our treatments will react with the sun."

"Oh, I did that already thank you." Then she quickly led him out of the building. They made their way to the garden and eventually to the woods.

It did not take long and they were back at the jeep. The others had been was waiting for them and when everyone was together they got into the jeep and made their way back to the villa. By the time they got back it was about 5 o'clock and everyone knew what had gone on from Angie and Jeniffer's debriefing. Angie had a little laugh at the fact the Suzanne and Graham had save Jeniffer, but did not push it.

Jason and Christine realized they were going to be late. After his shift Jason had gone to Christine's apartment to meet up with her. He was exhausted and said,

"I am wiped can I grab a quick shower."

"We don't have much time and I need one to." Jason smiled and said,

"Maybe we should save water and shower together."

"OK, but you have to be a good boy and just get cleaned up then we are out of there." He pouted but followed her into the bathroom. They jumped into the shower and it took all of Christine's will power to just get cleaned up, especially when Jason started to soap down her back and rub it. She quickly rinsed off and jumped out of the shower and got dressed. She dressed quickly and made Jason do the same. Jason then said,

"I have to go get the car I will meet you down stairs in five minutes." He left and she cleaned up the place a bit. Then she went down to wait for Jason to pick her up. They drove to La Paz and Christine called Graham to get directions. Christine then told Jason where the villa was. They headed up there and when they got to the gate, Jason announced Christine through an intercom. The gate opened and they drove up to the villa. Suzanne was standing there waiting for them.

The two girls moved together and gave each other a hug. Suzanne whispered into Christine's ear.

"What are we going to do with him?"

"I don't know," replied Christine. They separated and Christine introduced Jason and Suzanne. Christine then told Suzanne about the exciting drive home the night before. Suzanne said, to Jason in a sympathetic voice,

"Someone shot out your tire?"

"Yes the car was wracked and so would we have been if not for the fact that we were both half in the bag. We were loose and rolled with the crash." Christine then gave Jason a little smile. Suzanne said,

"You must be the person Graham had his little fun with this morning. I am sorry about that but I would have loved to have seen the look on your face." She led them inside and then out to the back porch.

Everyone was sitting around a table looking at a map when they came in. Jeniffer quickly rolled it up when she saw Jason. Graham saw them and quickly got up and walked over. Graham put his hand out to Jason and said,

"Hi, I am Graham. You must be Dr. Moody. I am sorry about this morning." Then he smiled thinking about it again. Christine came over at that point and hit him on the arm. She said,

"You are an ass. Why would you say such a thing?"

"It seemed like the thing to do at the time," said Graham. She then gave him a big hug. Then they all exchanged introductions. When all that was done and everyone was seated, Christine turned to Jason and said,

"We are here to break into SMI and get two of our friends out. They are being held against their will and we think they are going to be used in some experiment. If they live through the experiment they will most definitely be killed." She paused to let all of this sink in. "If you don't want to help you can leave now. I will not hold it against you." The silence was deafening while they waited for an answer.

Jason shifted in his seat, then asked,

"Is it going to be dangerous?" Christine looked around the table then turned back to him and said,

"If everything goes as planned, no, it should not be dangerous, and no one should know you helped us. But if it does not go well, anything could happen." Jason thought for a few more minutes then said,

"I am in. I did not join this hospital so they could kill people; or me for that matter "Christine then explained about their little adventure the night before, and how they were almost killed. After that the group spent the next half an hour getting Christine and Jason up to date on everything that had happened. After this was done Jason looked around at everyone and said,

"You people are very unusual. I don't know if I would have gone this far with the whole thing."

"So now you know what we know. Do you still want to help?" said Darren.

"Yes I will, as long as you are telling the truth and you are not lying to me, I am yours"

"That's fair. I don't think we could make up a story this good even if we tried,"said Christine

They got down to the business at hand and Angie asked Christine,

"What is the routine for Chris and Denise? Do they ever go for tests or anything else on a regular basis?"

"Not that I have seen. They just stay in there room under heavy sedation. Denise did say that she thinks she over heard a doctor say they were going to the lab, or tests or something, but she does not know when or even if it was a drug induced dream."

"That could make things difficult. We should move tonight," said Jeniffer. Jason then said,

"I don't know if it is important but, I think I know the reason for the organs that got you here in the first place. When people went into lab number seven to participate in the research they were doing. They would almost always need an organ transplant afterwards. They did the organ transplant once and tried it again and the success rate in the experiment was much higher. That is why they needed the supply of organs for transplant. I don't know what they are doing but we had to do some of the surgery. That is how I found out as much as I know."

"If that is what they are planning to try on Chris and Denise we have to get them out of there now," said Christine.

"Do you have a plan to get past the guards?" said Jeniffer.

"No but I think I can get them out of the hospital. It is simple just load them into a couple of wheelchairs. Then Jason and I can just roll them out the door. Once they are outside we can wheel them to the hole in the fence. Then carry them to the jeep, and back to the villa,"said Christine. Jason looked a little nervous at this suggestion, but did not say anything.

They all thought about it for a moment and the plan seemed sound enough. It was simple and left lots of room for different contingencies. They agreed and then started to assign different duties to groups and individuals. Jeniffer and Angie would cover the group while Suzanne, Darren and Graham would help Christine and Jason once they were outside. The plan was they would do it at midnight when the shifts changed in the hospital, more people to cover their movement. After all the planning was done they decided to have dinner and get some rest. Christine and Jason stayed for dinner then drove back to SMI. Before they left Graham pulled Christine aside and said,

"I like him but, do not leave his side for a moment after you leave here. It would not take much for are plan to be ruined and we could all be going to lab number seven."Christine looked at her friend and said,

"What has made you so suspicious?" Graham replied,

"The people we are dealing with." Then he grabbed her hand and gave it a little squeeze.

The time passed second by second for Darren who could not rest; he was lying beside Angie who seemed to be sleeping soundly. He got up and went down stairs for a cup of tea. In the kitchen he met Suzanne. She had already made a pot of tea, so they went into the solarium and sat down. Sipping his tea Darren said,

"Are you nervous?"

"No," said Suzanne, "I am scarred to death." They moved a little closer together on the love seat, they were sitting on and sipped their tea. The time passed incredibly slowly. Then Darren said,

"Did we really have sex that night at my place?" Suzanne smiled and said,

"No, I was just kidding you."

"That's to bad I really wanted to." She turned to him and kissed him on the cheek, then said,

"We will have another chance." They sat there snuggled in each others arm until Graham came to tell them it was time to get ready.

They all got dressed in dark camouflage clothes, and each had a knife, a compass and a small flashlight sheathed on their belts. When they were ready, they climbed into a jeep and a land rover, as they would need the extra room coming back. The drive out would not take about forty-five minutes and they parked at the same spot as before. Making for the hole in the fence, they moved very cautiously as it may have been found already. Getting to the hole they found it was still there. Angie said,

"I don't like this Jen. We should be going in a different way. They must already know about this by now."

"They will not expect us to use the same one, but I will check it out just to be sure." She put on some special goggles and looked over the hole in the fence. Jeniffer said,

"You were right. There is a laser fence around the hole. What do you want to do, make a new door or disable the laser fence?" The group was quiet for a moment then Darren said,

"If they put up a laser fence on the hole, they must expect us to come back. If we get around it but leave it functioning they will not know we are here." They all looked at one another and thought, 'that makes sense.' Jeniffer and Angie moved in closer to look at the laser fence setup. a couple of minutes of examination and Angie said,

"Well we can't go under it and by the look of it we can't go over it, but maybe we can go around it." Then she looked at Jeniffer to confirm her ideas. Jeniffer looked confused and said,

"What do you mean?"

"Well the laser fence is a semicircle around the hole in the fence, if we can move the end of the fence then we can slide between it and the electric fence. What do you think?" Jeniffer looked at her and said,

"Where does all that Machiavellian thinking come from? You were always the good girl of the two of us." Darren looked at them and said,

"The good girl?" Angie turned on him and said,

"Don't be smart and go and get me a stick about seven feet long and as straight as possible." Darren moved off and Angie told everyone to take out their flashlights and take them apart. She needed the reflective mirrors from them. She collected them and Darren came back with the stick. Angie then moved through the electric fence. Holding the stick up she started to put the mirrors on it. They had to be placed just right and it took her about twenty minutes to be happy with it. She then said,

"Ok, if this does not work, get ready to run." They all stood and watched but it was hard to tell what was going on as only Angie and Jeniffer could see the laser fence. Angie put it in place and quickly adjusted one of the lenses from the flashlight. Then she slowly opened up a hole in the laser fence. When it was wide enough to walk through, she did so but stopped almost at once. There at her feet was a small trip wire. She signaled Jeniffer to look it over. Jeniffer went through the hole in the laser fence and found a small claymore mine at the other end of the trip wire. Jeniffer told everyone to come through but to watch out for the trip wire.

Darren was first then Suzanne and Graham. Angie then fallowed through the hole, she had made. When everyone was on the inside Angie pulled the stick out of the fence and gave everyone back his or her flash light mirror. They spent a moment getting their flashlights back together. Then Angie and Jeniffer both pulled out a couple of strange looking guns and put their night vision goggles back on. Jeniffer said,

"Head west until you start to see light from the hospital. Then move to the meeting spot. You will not see Angie or me. We will be off to your right and left looking out for trouble. OK, lets move." Angie and Jeniffer both moved off and they could not see or hear them. Darren pulled out his compass, then shining his flashlight on it found west. He then started off in that direction with the others following him. They walked as quietly as possible. It took them about fifteen minutes until they could see the lights. They moved into where they were to meet with Christine and Jason.

Christine and Jason had talked about their homes on the drive back. When they got to the apartment at SMI, they both headed upstairs. At her apartment they sat on the couch and thought how are they going to get them out? Jason said,

"I think if anyone asks we should just say we are taking them to a lab for special therapy."

"That sounds good, no one will question it." They then just sat there listening to music and talking, trying very hard not to get nervous. At about 11:30 they started to make their way over to the hospital. Walking slowly they made it there at about quarter to twelve.

First they went to Jason's office where they got into lab coats and got his security card. They made their way to a storeroom and got a couple of wheel chairs. Then they went to Chris and Denise's room by the back elevator. The corridors of the hospital were so quiet that it gave the whole place a very eerie feel. They walked up to the door and Jason put his security card in the door to open it. Hearing a loud click, they walked in. Christine turned on the lights. Then she let out a little gasp. The beds were empty.
